Which one or two would be your favorite
I'm having trouble picking my favorite future pied combo, this is a tough one for me I really can't decide, the tie breaker might come when they are all adults down the road 5-8 years after I've produced them all.

So my question to you which of these listed below is your favorite?

    Lightning pied (axanthic pied)
    Dreamsicle (Lavender albino pied)
    Banana pied
Panda pied (super black pastel pied)

the axanthic pieds are just plain stunning, banana pieds take a close second imo

I really like the lightning pieds but I haven't seen a picture of an old one so I don't know how well they age.

The lavender albinos I've seen get better with age, but most axanthics I've seen don't.

I agree Dreams will look good as adults I can't wait to see an adult banana pied to see what they look like on the axanthic my adult single gene girl looks great I'm hoping her genes keep the brown out.

For me, probably pandas and dreams. The color difference is awesome

I picked axanthic and lavender because I like the future prospects. Pair them together and produce all pieds 100% double het for lavender snow! :gj:

Not a bad choice in that group. If I had to choose just one I would go lightning pied.

All Pieds are good. My favorites are Lightning, Panda and Banana. The only pain with Lightning is that it is double recessive

I would go with Lightning because
    a.) stunning coloration
b.) if you plan on selling, any place like an online classifieds would go absolutely INSANE. I bet you could put them up for like $3500 for a hatchling male
c.) a (fun?) project with what Drake said, being double recessive.

So lightning is still in the lead but all the others are close fun poll.

Lightening Pied all the way :gj:

I love the Black Pastel Pied (we have produced 5 this season), but there has to be an issue with the Panda Pied. With so much talk abut them over the past few years, to my knowledge there has only been 4 ever produced.

The odds are not stacked all that badly if you have the ingredients. 1:4 odds if you pair BP Pied x BP Pied, and 1:8 if you have one as a 100% Het.

I know Outback produced the 1st in 2008, and Colin Weaver has produced 3 since.

With the first Lightning Pied produced in 2008 as well, there are far more produced in the same time frame than the Panda (and we're talking double recessive).

I am keeping the last 1.1 Black Pastel Pied couple, and will not be using the female for Pandas.

I agree there has to be something up more kinks, deformities, that said I'm gonna still give it a shot I think both versions of the panda are crazy.

I am sure most of the Panda Pieds that are produced have to be put down.

It's no mystery that the Super Black Pastels have deformity issues.

Plus I doubt many people are try to make them as you would think. no reason to knowingly set yourself up for failure.

Exactly what I'm saying. Outback is unloading several Black Pastel Pieds on KS. You never see them posting a Panda.....

I'd personally stick with the lighter colors :gj:. Banana pieds and dreamsicles are just ridiculous. AX pieds are sweeeet, but yeah... Going with the crazy bright colors is where it's at!

I'll trade you a lightning pied for a whitewash combo when mine have had their first clutch.

Me too. Haha As none of my babies are ready to breed. I'll have 3 males ready but no females for next season. Gonna get some breeders or virgin breeder sized ladies to start things off in the next few months.

I'm looking at a female clown and low white pied to start making quad whitewash hets and then a codom or two for codom and normal triple whitewash hets

Easy way to remedy axanthic growing, add fire. Better yet add fire and pastel. :D I can't wait to eventually produce a firefly lightning pied.
