Best Birthday Ever

I turned 13 today, and I got a shipment from LLLReptiles today. I will be setting up my new tank, pics and stats will be posted up tommorow when its all done!

I did it! I set up the terrarium. I'm getting my bluey after Thanksgiving break. Oh god I can't wait! He'll be chilling in a 36in x 18in x 18in with around 3 inches of aspen in an exo terra, 2 hides for the warm and cool side, one tstat-ed UTH on the left side with the stacking stones, some sticks to climb over, water bowl in middle, and styrofoam insulation in the back for that extra 2 degrees of ambient temp. WOO!

Also lights and uth are on a timer so at night the cage will go down to about 70 degrees.

Happy birthday! I got my first ball python when I was thirteen and I still have him today. I'm now 26. I wish many years of happiness to you and your skink.

If your UTH is on a thermostat, there is no need to have it on a timer. And 70 is too cold.

yeah he/she is being shipped from Outback Reptiles, I at least convinced my parents not to by from First Choice Reptiles, now I'm just worried Outback might be using DHL shipping and not FedEx. I dunno for absolutely sure if he's captive bred, there are 2 sources saying he is, but he is also a Halmeheren BTS, I think originating in Indonesia, not Australia. I wanted a Northern BTS just because I could be sure he would be captive bred, as animal trafficking in Australia is extremely well umm...enforced? Yeah. That. Sorry for wall of text. I'm excited and when I'm excited I spout words.
