Another neurotic pet!
Beardies are cool. I just got my first one last week, and he is very entertaining and has a huge appetite. But the thing about them is, they are not like snakes; they need to be fed every day. This takes some getting used-to for me, a person who is used to feeding the snakes weekly. It can get a teeny bit expensive too, to get enough crickets for a daily feeding, and also the greens they eat, and maybe some pre-manufactured food too. But if you go in knowing what to expect, you should be fine.

My next acquisition is definitely going to be a Beardie. We were actually going to get one at the show a couple of weeks ago, but instead picked up a pair of Cali. Kings. They are so cute and relatively docile, I can't wait! (it will be a couple of months though)

Its always appropriate to let people know where the pic came from. It's also not a bad idea to find out if you can even use the pic before you go ahead do.

Actually, if you don't get permission, don't use the pic. Period. And once permission is given, always credit the photographer.

Beardies are much more involved than snakes....I'd say I spend as much time per day taking care of my beardie as I would with a dog. Seriously, cause when u get a beardie as a pet, you also have a bunch of pet crickets on hand, in addition to other various worms and whatnot. Between my beardie and my leo, i've got a whole drawer in my fridge with mealworms, waxworms, and various veggies for the beardie. But they are one of the few lizard that interact with you back, so its all worth it to me.

For the beardie owners
