Has she bred before or is she only of weight to breed?

Are you serious or is that sarcasm? The reason I ask is that the market for albinos has gone down a significant amount and I'm seeing hatchling females for around $200 (give or take a few) and usually provens are no more than 2-3 times more than hatchlings. That's what I've been noticing with a lot of genes anyways. Please do correct me if I'm wrong😊

Depends on the weight of the snake, if she's a proven breeder, etc. If she's a big snake and she's laid good sized clutches, I'd say she's worth it.

Babies are less expensive because there's been no work put into them. A big, beautiful, proven breeder has had a lot of the hard work already taken care - she's been grown and fed and you know she's viable and immediately ready to put into a project.

Supply and demand, it's a recessive gene, and we are in the beginning of breeding season therefore you won't see that many females like that around hence why the price can go back up a little.

Bottom line it's all about what someone is willing to pay for something they want bad enough.

No I was serious a proven adult Albino female is for sure worth that money if you like the snake and have the right plans.

I think so, wasn't long ago I bought a big proven female for 650 when I was vending at a show, I owned her before the doors even opened. I thought it was a steal, thus wasted no time.

She's not ready yet. She's only 900g. I appreciate all the responses.

There's a huge difference between a ready to breed female and a 900 gram female. That 900 gram female might not breed till next season. Be aware of the 1000 gram wall lol.

Besides size, I'd also look at color - is she high contrast? Pattern? Is she a stunning example of albino? I tend to pay more for the best examples of the gene because I selectively breed. I also price higher for selectively bred animals that are the best representations of their gene.

Sorry. I was looking into purchasing one and the seller told me that ready to breed albinos were worth $800, so he'd sell me a 900g for $400. I was just wondering how true that was.

It's true if that's the value the seller puts on it, for him to let her go. If he can make more money by keeping her and breeding her, then he's decided that's his "let go of her" price.

It wasn't too many years ago that NORMAL breedable females were selling for over $1000 because of the money that could be made just breeding multigene animals to her.
