Hi my name is Tammy and I have a few snakes my husband has bought in the past seven months or so. They are free to a good home, but I would like a little essay with at least one hundred words why I should give them to you. Now who ever wins will have to pay for shipping. Now some of you may ask what kind are they and all I can say is I don't know as I don't like them and that is why I giving them away, as I have no need for them since my husband has passed away. Now I can tell you that he had a Passion for reptiles so I know he did take good care of them.
The last day I will be accept an assay is 10/18/04.

Hello everyone
-
I am so sorry to hear about your husband... My deepest sympathies.
If you need any help in the mean time with their husbandry requirments, please let us know.
-
excuse my manners...i am also sorry to hear about your husband.i hope you find homes for your snakes.
-
sorry to hear about your loss. :( perhaps you could put some pictures of the snakes online so that people can see what they look like? once we can see what kinds of snakes you have i bet lots of interest will be sparked. and if you have any questions about them in the meantime please ask, as there are lots of people here with good answers for just about anything.
-
They are babies and I have one of his students feeding them at this time and checking in on them. He wanted them but his parents said no so that is why i'm doing it this way. I'll see if i could get some pictures up when he comes by this weekend to feed and clean.
-
It also would not be a bad idea to know where you are located. Maybe a suitable person could do a local pickup to save on the hassle of shipping.
Good luck with everything Tammy, there are a lot of good people on this site and you would not have to worry about your husbands snakes with any one of them. I am sure you will find a good home quickly.
-
Best of luck! I am more than sure we could find them adequate homes, especially if you could so much as list the species or post pics of some sort.
-
Well I was a little surprised by the amount of essays i received (only 2) so now I have to decide who gets them I will post a winners name and his essay her for all to read. As I said earlier in my post I really don't know what kind they are. He did promise me that they wouldn't get to big and his student never made it by this weekend so I never got a chance to get any pictures of the snakes.
-
<<would have submited an essay but is too poor at the moment to even handle shipping charges.
lol

Zoo med water treatments
You really would get more responces if there were some pics or we knew where we would have to pay to ship from. I do understand the difficulty that can be getting pics posted, i don't have any of mone posted. I myself would submit an essay if I knew I could afford the shipping, but not until then, as I would hate for you to think you have someone to give them to only to be turned down if I can't pay the shipping cost. Were you just giving away the snakes, or thier set ups as well? That could also sway some people your way.
-
Hey, I have an Idea. Why don't we all post pictures of our snakes, and she can tell us if any of ours look like hers? I think that would work. Lets try. Does one of them look like the avatar padiente has?
-
-
Two of them are a lot lighter and the other four are about that shade
-
new desktop, woot!!
Sorry to hear about your loss and everything, but I'm not sure I like the idea of giving snakes to someone before they even know what kind of snakes they are. Each snake requires different care, which needs to be set up ahead of time. I hope this still works out though..
Maybe I can post some pictures of the most popular pet snakes and you can tell us if they have the same pattern as them so we can get an idea. :)

Sorry for the big pics. It's just bugging me wondering what kind of snakes you have up for grabs. Let us know if any of the snakes you have available have similar patterns and stuff. I'm just trying to help make sure they go to good well prepared homes. :)
-
Wow! I'm surprised you got 2 essays w/o knowing what snakes they were getting into. I'm interested to know what kind they are myself and where you are located. Maybe ask the student if he/she knows what species they are. In your post above you said "Two of them are a lot lighter and the other four are about that shade" - what snake pic are you referring to?
-
Yea, I think this Idea works. I would of submitted an essay, and I really want a ball python (another one, if you have one) but I didn't read the post in time! That stinks. I hope you find a home for them though. Let me ask you, are they all the same kind of snake? do they all look the same?
-
Handling Leopard Geckos!?
I think it's a great idea as well - wish petstores, etc did something like that. I'm just surprised people took the time to compose an essay when they don't even know what they're writing it for and what kind of housing/care they need to be able to provide.
-
Yea. I asked in an above post if it looked like the snake in padiente's avatar and she said two are alot lighter and six are that shade. I wonder if the two lighter ones are baby burms.
-
male or female?
Ahhh, I must have missed that. Thanks! I'd still love to see pics, as some people do confuse baby burms, etc with bps. I might be willing to write a whole book if it's a snake I'm interested in. :)
-
You really WOULD generate a LOT more interest if folks had some idea what sort of snakes they might be getting into - heck as far as they know they could be baby African Rock Pythons or have visible illnesses etc. Just trying to help yopu in your efforts to get rid of them.
-
Good point - you'd certainly get more interest, but I love the idea. I take it this is your way of trying to ensure that the snakes go to serious/good owners; however, (no offense to anyone that did submit an essay), I'd be leary of someone who submitted an essay without knowledge of the species in question - how do they know they can properly house and care for them? Or are they just interested because they're essentially 'free' (plus shipping)?
-
Well I am EVERY bit as guilty of the same behavior, Tiger - when in Sam's Club/COSTCO wheelin around anything free is good - the "free sample" ladies can't even begin their sales pitch properly before I have half the samples off their tray and jammed into my cheeks liek a squirrel.

I have no idea what you look like, but the picture I just got in my head was absolutly halarious. Like the cartoon squirel in the sword in the stone. hehehe
-
That's pretty much accurate - just add a smattering of facial hair.
-
I got the same picture in my head! :)
-
ooh, creepy. Oh well, they say great minds think alike

Hi everyone I talked to the young man today thats helping me with the snakes and he thinks that they are all ball pythons. I will be looking though some papers my husband had from the breeders that I found last night and if the winner wants to know what the papers say i'll let him know. Thank you all for your help.
-
Hi again everyone here is the winning essay that i chose as the winner and for one reason really and that was that he placed his phone number in it which i will block out
"hi i'm pming you on the behalf of your husbands snake you have here on the ball-pythons.net site that say your giveing them away. me and my wife and son would be more then happy to give them a good home as we each enjoy them my son more then us gets a kick out of them. and he really enjoys watching them and holding them and he's only four. but if you find it in your heart to give them to us we would like to know when and how and what you feed them in order to give them a good home. and if you have any thing you would like to talk to us about please feel free to call me at 1-586-xxx-xxxx and ask for eugene"
-
Oh man, If I had known they were Ball Pythons I would of ubmitted an essay. Is it to late to submit one? Can you extend it 3 more days now that everyone knows what kind of snakes they are?
-
Im sorry to everyone that wish they knew the snakes where ball pythons, but I have already talked to Eugene on the phone and I have set a date for shipping with him.
-
-
I ask if he wanted them all and he is willing and sounds able to take them all and give them a good home.
-
oh man. I have been looking for ball pythons too....o well...
-
Wow, well congrats to you for finding them a good home. And congrats to Eugene for getting all them perdy free snakes.
Man...I'd die if the "lighter" ones were pastels or something...
-
Yeah, me too, i think we would all keel over
-
So whats the deal with the pastel cody and you have a picture of it.
-
-
Hi all
Well i'm not sure but that did look like one of them. and the other was lighter and a little funny looking.
-
oh my...
you may want to postpone shipment on those. If you'll post some pics, we will identify them for you. Pastels are one of the cheaper ball python morphs. Some of the other morphs go for $15,000+...
You never noticed your hubby spending large chunks of money did you?
-
Geeze..... And I didn't submit an essay becuase I was afraid I'd end up with a burm or something.
-
Well it's to late to hold up shipping as Eugene wired the money to me the same day I called him and we talked. Now i never said he spent a lot of money i relly didn't want it to be about money, even though I know a lot of people here breed them but he did spend a little to much on them if you ask me, but it was his money.
-
Some of you have ask me to post well I can't now because they were shipped today but if you have a web site that I could go to and look I would be happy to for you guys
.
-
You just sold a pastel for 100$ HOLY PYTHON! MAN!!!!!!
-
welp, as long as you're happy with the way things go, I guess it doesnt really matter.
Crossin my fingers Eugene ;)

The Iguana Hunter
Well i was looking at that site and I never knew there was so many kinds but I ruled out the yellows white and every other color that wasn't a brown tone and the only one that was close was called a spider. I saw one pic on the right hand side the 4th from the top and it's funny looking.
-
spiders are worth $12,000-$15,000 and are still fairly uncommon. Im kinda doubting it was, but ya never know. Stranger things have happend...
-
HOLY COW~ YOU SOLD A paSTEL AND SPIDER FOR 100$ EACH! OMG! I so would of submitted an essay! I thought I was gonna get liek a retic or something....man oh man....
