New morph! What are your thoughts?
Super interesting and very unexpected clutch hatching. Just started coming out today. What does everyone think.

Very cool looking snakes. Is this an actual new base gene? Or are they three or more gene animals though and you got lucky?

Very interesting snakes; quite curious to see what transpires.

My thoughts exactly regarding incubation.....Look like possibly Granite Bumblee Bees. Maybe even some leopard in their causing the extreme look in the two possible bees. Very Interesting though if it is not due to temp spikes.

So no pinstripe or spider (per VAHerps thread)... retained sperm maybe?

My INITIAL guess is Leopard Spider Granites because that is what they look like, but I would assume the breeder of these animals is saying one or maybe none of those are present?

No spider or pin 100% Iv never had either in my breeder run. Im itching to let the cat out but still want to see what all comes out myself first.
I will say the parents of this clutch were both produced by me from wild caught dinker origins. (hand picked bush babies)
I do believe it is a mix of known morphs and something new.
No abnormalities during incubation. 88 straight through.

They look like crazy granite or leopard combos. Can't really tell you what gene we think we are unless we see the parents. That might point us in the right direction. Mom or dad might be a granite looking type, or leopard-granite looking type. Cool babies though! I like that spider version! Looks like you made a pastel version too.

I personally think it's a cool new gene that has granite and leopard traits :gj:. Looks cool! Try to find the one combo that changes the game before releasing them :gj:!

    Here is baby #6
Loving the head pattern with the high "cheeks"? I guess you would call them lol.

Iv been getting a lot leopard guesses. Non of those in my breeding either.

Last baby is taking its time and Im getting impatient. So..... Lets get in to the parents. The mother is the product of a Woma and a wild granite type and the father a pastel paired with a wild black belly type. Until this season I was unsure about the father.
What we have here are Woma granite pastel black bellies! Or Granite woma jackets! There is so much not done with the black belly gene. This is just one more step on the path.

Do do cretin circumstances. I am (for now) holding off on the "yellow jacket" and "black belly" lable. These animals were produced with a black belly type animal from wild caught origins. I stand by my belief that they are one and the same.
I will be returning to this issue as soon as a pastel x black belly with no added mutations is produced.
    Stay tuned.......

Sable. You made Chocolate chips. Pastel spider sable. The black belly one looks to be sable. Sables have the same black belly. Only thing is sable spider does not thrive. So maybe a different sable or a similar morph? Nice though.
And someone is not being truthful about no spider in this pairing. Def is Spider, Pastel and something Sableish

The gene you are looking at is woma. I do not own any spider or combinations. The black belly type is doning something funny with the head.
    There is no spider.

woma would explain it I guess as they can look similar to some spiders. I do think its a sable you are working with.

I do not think so . However everyone is entitled to an opinion. =) Are ou looking at everything pictured to come to this conclusion, or just the belly of the one animal? I do not have sable (that I know of) nor do I know much about them at all. Isn't sable a darkening gene?

The belly and the pattern. To me they look like sable. Also those ones look just like Choclate chips, which are spider, pastel and sable. Yours being Woma would account for them looking as they do as some Womas are very similar looking to spiders. Pictures of the parents would help out a lot.
Sables very in color as well. They can be very dark and can also be lighter, normalish pattern to very wonky. We had 2 Sable clutches this year. 2 hatchlings from the 2nd clutch were very light compared to the 1st clutch.
    Very nice looking hatchlings regardless.

    This is mom.
Im keeping dad under wraps for right now. He is the product of a wild caught black belly "type" paired with a pastel.

lol not sure why people act like that. As if someone being able to see a snake is going to clone it and steal someones project. :confusd:

Good luck and I look forward to seeing how things progress. :gj:

Re: New morph! What are your thoughts?
When you say new morph...how many genes do you feel are in play here? I think it is an awesome looking combo though.

I believe there is woma, granite, Pastel and a wild caught gene that has a black belly. so 4 in total.
