Habitat question
I bought my first Ball about 6 months ago and I just moved her into a larger tank. I would like to put a large branch or something for her to climb on. Is there a website or store that has a good selection of these types of things? Or do most of you make/find your own? Any help would be appreciated.

I also would love to know where or what site i could buy things for my Python, it's in a 40 Gal tank and Arabella is about 2.5 to 3 foot long.

I just found some willow branches outside, sanitized them and cut to size :) my lesser loves to crawl all over them! You can find real willow and other types of branches at craft stores especially around this time of year.

You do know ball pythons are ground dwellers, and don't really need things to climb on, right?
-
Yes but he does anyway. He hasn't fallen off and I like the way it looks. :)

The pet store I go to is called scales and tails. Im not sure if their only locations are in Colorado, but they sell drift wood of all sizes. See if you can find a reptile store. I would type into google "Reptiles stores near <Your Location here>"

They may not need things to climb on but mine likes to "climb" up onto the thermometer that I have suction cupped to the inside of the aquarium. Eventually she will be too big for that and if she likes to climb I want to let her be happy and climb.

You can also find driftwood and treat it yourself.
When i got some for my beardie i Soaked it in a bleach mixture for 1 hour, then baked it at 300 for roughly 2-3hours. After that i placed it in the freezer overnight (just to kill any heat resistant bacteria if any)
And boom free decorations.

I've used wood from the back yard that I've cleaned up, driftwood, and the plastic/pvc decorations. The problem with wood is that if it gets pooped or peed on it can be difficult to clean up as the mess soaks into it. Yuck!
Plastic ones clean up easily, but you have to make sure to get decorations that are safe for reptiles. Sometimes people make the mistake of using plastic or stone decorations that are designed for acquariums and have openings so that your BP can just squeeze himself into them... and not get back out.

I know most people think that, but it's not very true. If you give them enough space, they'll climb.

Re: Habitat question
Certain localities in Africa they are actually primarily arboreal because the only abundant food item are birds.

Petsmart has a semi-decent selection of decorations. As far as climbing branches, this one is what I have. My snake fell off of the top branch and hasn't gone back up sense, but I turned it on it's side and my snake has been over there every night since just to lay his head and the first 2 inches of him on the branch.
