I inspected it and asked more questions than I could fit in my head. The petco near me is one of the best petshops i've seen. I know people talk about pet shop horror storys but I plus I plan on taking him to the vet to make sure not to far from now.

not all petcos are bad. The petco near me actually takes much better care of their herps then ANY other pet store in my area. Thats saying alot too because there are like 15-20 shops along the wasatch front. Ive been to all of em. They dont have a huge selection, but all of their cages are clean, have good hides and folage, they have correct humidity and temps, and healthy looking herps.

    congrats on the bp man!

Thanks! The lady at my petco even asked me if I had the enclosure ready and what the heat and such. My petco is the best pet store I have near me. I'll snap a few pics tonight if I can. He's a nie dark color with almost green spots down his back.

Congrats man! I'm glad to hear that it all went well for you. You guys are right, not all petstores are bad. The bad part is that the good ones are outweighed by the ones that dont treat their herps correctly.

Yes, thats what gives the ma bad rap. Right now he's lounging around in his hide on the warm side of the cage.

Thanks Marla! I'd liketo thank everyone who helps me learn the ropes of bp keeping. Now I have to put that knowledge into action.

LOL! Thanks again. I researched for like five months and I still feel a bit uneasy.

I was the same. I researched for about 5 months aswell, and felt uneasy when I first got my bp. I was all worried and checking temps and stuff every 10 minutes. Now I'm settled and used to it. It's not a hard snake to keep at all really. Once you have the tank set up and heated, it's pretty simple from there. The hardest part for me was the heating of the tank. And that wasn't hard at all. Now it's been a few months and everythings gone smooth. *knock on wood*
