    Introducing Zillo!

Female Mojave from LLL arrived this morning. This is the only one she would let us get. All the others make her seem like speed racer.

As soon as she gets comfortable I am getting a few good shots. Every time I line a nice one she jerks to one side or the other and blurs the shot.

This is a delayed update. I got the terrarium presentable for a reference pic.http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...c53743187b.jpg

Zillo herself has adjusted or is adjusting very nicely. I messed up at first and I didn't have a night bulb or thermostat for the first 5 days. So a day bulb was all she had. Very stressed little baby for a bit.http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...80abcd1ee2.jpg I got that sorted and now she is happy and cruising at night. I offered her a f/t mouse fuzzy one week after her landing and she dead refused. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...e9e3678bd8.jpg I tried like ten different ways entice her...no go. This was just one way I finally tried before throwing the poor thing out. No worries. My fault actually. No day/night cycle, new environment. Should have expected it. Now she cruises around as soon as the sun goes down. I think this week we stand a much better chance at eating. By feeding day the bulk order from bigcheese should be in and she will have hoppers every 4 days. That is what LLL had her on or there about, the fuzzies were all the local pet smart had until I could make my order.

OK...feeding week 2. I am using f/t mouse hoppers. This week after a full thaw and warming in ziplock/hot water i placed the prey on the screen top to prescent while i fed my normal. She wouldn't leave the warm side hide at first. But the prescenting at least made her look out of her hide. Zombie walk...dangle...no motion. So I left the prey at the entrance and left her alone. After about half an hour she came out, looked it over and now has been doing her nightly explorations with the prey laying there. How long should I leave there to see if she takes it?

ok some people might not agree with me here but,

when i bring home a snake that wont take a f/t after trying twice or three times i would just throw in a live mouse/rat.

if the snake takes that for 2 - 3 times in a row i will try offerng a good warmed up f/t again usually it will take the f/t then with no problem.

but that is just how i do it.

This is what is was thinking as well. Would seem to be logical. She didn't hide from the prey so I might just not have gotten it warm enough. My older normal has always been such a good eater that I knew I would be spoiled.

Does anyone know how long I should wait before I become worried? I don't have a scale yet but she was hatched in early August.

    SHE ATE!!! http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...7b48732f20.jpg

I tried ensuring the prey was warmed better and even if she was shy she took it. I had to leave it laying for her but she finally took a hopper and ate. I feel better now even she doesn't.

Zillo is in heavy blue now. Eating 2 hoppers per meal and ready for adults. Only took one this week... Thinking it's because she's in blue
