Anyone catch this show in Animal Planet tonight? The first episode was about retics. He finally got one that was ~20ft. It was wild. The one that is starting now is on the King Cobra. Check it out if you get a chance and lemmie know what you think.
-
yea...he makes Steve Irwin look smart! He was just messing with the cobra and retic like its nothing!
-
Thanks for the heads up. I"m watching it right now. Crazy how he could touch that cobra's head by keeping it's attention to his other hand. I wish I could have seen the retic one though.
-
it's like hey! then the cobra strikes at him
-
Did you guys catch the warning at the beginning of the show. At least they are telling people not to go do this without some serious training and experience.
-
yea im jumpin back n forth from here to the living room
i dont think that retic really could eat him as he says!

I thought they were gonna say"Please catch all venomous snakes in your backyard"Lol
-
LOL, this guy is just too much. That was hilarious when he jumped in the water to get the water snake.
-
-
hah, I read about that guy in the paper yesterday morning I believe.... but I forgot when it came on.
-
haha, wow....
yea...someone already said it, he makes steve irwin look smart

I've seen his cobra episode and his anaconda episode. I'm not sure what to make of this guy, but the shows were pretty cheesy - even if that king cobra was cool as hell.
On a side note, Smulkin and I were watching Steve Irwin lastnight and saw him get nailed by a retic two or three times in the arm. The retic wasn't fully grown - it was maybe 7 feet long - but that was one pissed off snake! It kept striking at the camera.

Man, I gotta get me some a that new fangled cable TV so I can get me some Animal PLanet.
I feel like a cave dwelling Ludite at this point. :(
Who know's, I might even trade in Pong for an X-Box.

Don't do it man, Pong is the light and the way.

I am so with you on that. Simple graphics - basic hand/eye coordination. What more do you need?
It is hard to see by candle light, but hey, you can't have it all.

Candle light is all you need for pong, game boy, or rummy, as the kids and I demonstrated last night. Who needs light bulbs anyway?
I've seen the Austin Stevens cobra episode too, and I thought the snake was fantastic and he was acting like a drooling idiot.
-
Yea I saw those, That guy shoud not have kids. He is like a rung below lemars on the evolutionary latter. I saw the one last year where he got bit by that cobra. He was like "oh for F*@#k sake guys I have been bitten" I was like DDUUUUUUHHHH lets lay on the ground and look at the snake through the camera so it takes all depth perception away and then wonder why we got the crap tagged out of us. His respect for the animals is nonexistent. he just drags them out by any means he can and then pisses them off to get them to strike at the lens and just leaves them. Like that big retic. It had just eaten and he he goes stressing it out and probaly making it regurge it meal.. MORON

Damn, this is a tough crowd.
I think you have to take him, Irwin and Corwin w/ a grain of salt.
There hearts are in the right places, as to educate so people don't just fear wildlife and want to kill it.
I saw a Corwin last night about the black market on many reptiles and animals for old beliefs and medical values in Asian countries and how they are killed and poached for retarded reasons ie Otter penis as the alt. to Viagra, go figure!
He is as cheesey as they come but it's good to educate and get info out to the masses.
To bad they have to add the "Hollywood" touch to the show
I don't think there is ever any real harm done to any of the animals seen on their shows.
