Overheated ball python!!

A friend of mine has been looking after my bps for me while i have been away! I came bk today to find the room temps 45 degrees Celsius! Well in to the 100s degrees Fahrenheit! My mojo male is displaying some very distressed of symptoms. Limp, head roll. Unresponsive to touch!
I cooled him off in some cool water (not too cool to shock him) can he pull through after displaying head rolling symptoms or should i get him euthanised?

I wouldn't jump the gun. Give it some time.

You can't predict what will happen next some never fully recover while some take time (more then a day or two, it could take several weeks)

I wouldn't put it down just yet wait for it to heal give it some time remember everything takes time

For how long were they exposed to that temperature?
They might also be dehydrated...

Just kill the heat in the room and let it naturally drop.
All you can do is wait and see what happens.

Thanx all! he has cooled down now and is moving much better, however still showing some signs of neurological damage. Like IBD symptoms. And his tongue movement is minimal. I am going to give him a fighting chance but seems cruel to not euthanise him if he is suffering. Thanks again you help and advice is much appreciated!

No way of knowing how long he was exposed but the friend who was looking after him did not replace his water when he flipped his bowl. If it was that hot the whole week i was away all snakes would surely be dead!!

If you are refering to your so called friend......YES!

If your BP is showing some improvement this quickly then I wouldn't euthanize him just yet. It may take weeks for him to recover though.

I would keep him more humid than normal to help him stay hydrated, since he may not drink much on his own for a while.

Just a update ppl! My mojo is improving a little everyday! Still not quite back to normal! I have been soaking him in warm water wiv vitamins and Pyrolite every day for 2 hrs. ( just incar any1 else ever has this problem this worked very well) thanks again for all the help and advice

Funny thing with this necro is it made me google a bit about head roll and I just learned that the spider gene exhibits a wobble which explains my Bumblebee's behaviour ...

So whilst I agree, "necro seriously?" on the bright side I at least learned something new!
