Lovely looking snakie you've got there! :D Where'd you get her? How old is she?

Thank you, I purchased her at one of our local reptile shows in May. I dont, know her exact age but she's about 6 or 7 monthes old. I wish I knew more details about her. Like what kind of RTB she is. I didnt know there were different locals when I bought her or I would have asked. Any Ideas?

I can't say for sure since I can't see the full pattern or anything, but to me it looks like a columbian red tail boa..aka "common bci". And a beauty she is. :)

definately not a colombian. That is either a Peruvian Redtail Boa BCC, or a Suriname Redtail Boa BCC. I hav ea colombian, and I hate to say it, but yours is MUCH more stunning than mine.

I still say columbian red tail. :) There seems to be no peaks in the saddles for it to be BCC like bpbabe says, and it looks like the usual bci pattern and colors to me.

it looks like a cross between peruvian, and colombian. But I dont think thats possible. It's just to light to be a colombian, and doesn't have thd same head shape as Mosi does.

Yes, I wasn't told when I got my snake what locality it was, just that it was a RTB. And I asked on a few forums, and was told it was a colombian BCI. And the snake above looks alot lighter than my snake, and it has a bit of a different head shape. But my mom says it looks just like mosi. go to

Here's a pic of my Columbian bci, Apache, for comparison purposes.Note that in his pattern, the light spaces along the back are oval without any "puzzle-piece looking peaks to them.

And here's a pic of a bcc. It is not mine; I found it on Google. But you can see the difference; the markings are puzzley-shaped.

It's possible, I've seen Guyana/Colombians for sale.

Looks like a BCI to me I have one of each and it looks alot like my BCI does and not so much like my BCC its tough to say though.

It's a colombian without a doubt.
