    New owner - Feeder size
I finally got my first BP. I was told to feed him(?) fuzzies which from the videos I have watched, they seem a bit small for the size. I just fed one fuzzy about 10 mins ago and he took it readily which I feel is a good sign since I have only had him for 3 days now. The fuzzy was down his throat within a minute or two. I was just curious on others with more experience on what they thought. Thank you for your time.

Alright but a snake that size should be eating hopers or an adult mouse they can swallow pretty big prey

Thank you! Do you think feeding two fuzzy's until I am out of them will be ok? How long should I wait to feed the second one?

Fuzzy mice or hoppers look to small for him. I would try switching him over to large rat pups. Maybe even a small weaned its hard to tell by the picture. Good rule of thumb is feed him a prey item that is as large around as the thickest part of the snake. Hope this helps

First I just have to say that your little normal is Gorgeous! I love it's dark creamy color and clean pattern. He or she is a beaut. Now back to your question, he/she can definitely take Rat Pups at it's size. Most feed fuzzy rats/hopper mice to newly hatched babies and yours looks to be a little older than a fresh out of the egg hatchling. So try rat pups and see how it goes :) keep us updated.

Thank you so much. I do think he/she is pretty. I will try to find larger feeders in town asap.

Yeah pics are hard to judge the size of a ball python, but I am thinking he could easily take rat pups....
