What do you guys think of the "whitewash" ball
Just wondering what you guys think of this new paradoxish looking recessive morph I read about in Bush league breeders club. It was proved recessive this season. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...059c91fb8d.jpg

They have albino/snow whitewashes and axanthic snow whitewashes I do believe.

Anything with patterning like that is stunning, to almost anyone, love it or hate it!
i love it and I think that snakes marked like that probably catch the eye of people outside the snake trade! they catch my eye! Wow!
A proven recessive like that would be great stuff!

Theres some killer albino paradox animals I was just looking at...

It's from Nuyten reptiles somewhere in Europe. They have albino/snow/whitewashes and axanthic whitewashes

I'm curious as to whether they can isolate the whitewash as they accidentally discovered it in a albino x snow breeding. They weren't even looking for it.

They're visual lows but like piebalds; lows can throw highs, mids and lows.

I have the breeder pics of them. They barely show expression but they can make highs so that's what brought me in.http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...a2641c9fff.jpg1.0 Axanthic albino/whitewash

hey i do not really fully understand the naming,

with the male you say, Axanthic Albino/Whitewash, but i see no albino in there?
same goes for the female, Wildtype snow/whitewash, isnt snow a combo of axanthic and albino?

Yeah, the whitewash comes in a triple ressessive. Axanthic, albino, whitewash. It mixes the genes up and is essentially a genetic paradox. The male is axanthic and the whitewash brings out albino paradoxism. It's a low visual so it would be like a really low pied...basically little more then a ringer pied. The female is a wildtype; the white spots are the whitewash gene bringing out the snow.

So yes, snow is a double recessive but with the added whitewash gene that expresses snow in a paradox type display. Like pieds they can show very little expression to very high expression. Mine are lows. Also like pieds lows make highs and vice versa. On the axanthic male the albino/ww is just a couple little yellow spots.

The discoverer has gotten it down to a double recessive and hopes to isolate it this year.

That makes sense now. That's a very cool project! It's amazing how much luck was needed to accidently discover the gene.

Looking forward to the gene being isolated and congrats on your new babies!
