    Another one...
I think by new bp might have respiratory infection! Well today when i was handling her when i kept on moving her she made a popping noise then i just stopped in my trax i started listening closer and i heard it again and again till she started to relax and did her little coil like a bracelet on me and then the popping noise stopped and i couldnt here it for a while so idecided to check on here on medical and it said that it would have bubbly fluid or mucus in its mouth so i opened it up and it looked real clean tome

is this early signs of repiratory infection or stress?

Aren't you having problems with feeding?
I wouldn't handle her until she starts feeding, you're stressing her out.

if it turns out that she is not going into shed you may be able to head off that infection by raising the temps, lowering the humidity(making sure water is available of course), making sure the enclosure is well ventalated and clean, there is something for her to climb on, and handling her a little (it helps loosen the mess). I saved myself a potentially expensive trip to the vet by following this regeme (which he gave me). Good luck

Raising the temps and lowering the humidity ( temporarily ) is a good idea, however i will suggest a trip to the vet if it persists. RI is deadly to our little slithery buddies.

Oh yes, I agree wholeheartedly. I believe that if you have raised the temps a few dgrees and followed the other instructions, but symptoms still persist after a week then a trip to the vet is in order. I think it was a week, all I know is that it is best to get her to the vet before mucus shows in the mouth. Mine had 2 blocked nose vents, but I got it to clear up.

my bp makes the popping/wheezing sound right after she eats a big meal. if it is a smaller meal i don't hear it, only if it is a bigger one. does that have something to do with her jaw being out of alignment or what causes that?

I have often wondered the same thing as Kitty occasionally does that too. It is also only after a big meal. I was thinking that eating the larger meal has him all sretched out and tired out, and that is what we are hearing. Any takers?

Since no one has asked, what are your temps and humidity like? How about substrate?

i've occassionally heard a few "pops" out of fat bastard, but he goes to the vet every three months, and always checks out fine, and the vet i go to is an awesome herp vet, but i've never really gotten a real answer as too why. Its rare...and not very often, but i guess since he doesn't have RI, and i know he doesn't for a fact, i dont worry about it too much.

I keep the humidity at 63% but lately because of all the storms in ga the humidity level has gone up to 74%! and when that happens Take the thing holdin in the humidty half way off. On the cool side the temp ranges between 80-83 and on the hot side it is 88-92.
