I was wondering if anybody could tell me exactly what type of ball python my babies are? The light one really has me curious. I believe they are n the gallery?
Thanks for any input.

O my. Why do you think they aren't at all? What do you think? The dark one looks like almost every picture of ball python.....

They look like red tail boas or maybe a retic of some kind? I'm not sure but they have narrower heads, thinner bodies and patterns that I've never seen on a BP. I'm no expert though so hopefully someone else will comment soon and help xD

Yep, pretty sure this is a Boa... OP where did you get the animal from? These can get quite big.

Those are absolutely boas. I don't know what sub species, but definitely boas. If the right sub species they can get upwards of 10 feet or more.

I agree... and I'm just a hobbyist snake keeper with 1 ball... definitely not balls. Some kind of boa would be my guess too. Did someone sell them to you as ball pythons? Are you ready for a 10 foot snake?

O wow. Yes, I got the darker one from a college student that couldn't give him the attention he needed/wanted. He said he got him from Petco.
I rescued the lighter colored one from a guy who wasn't taking care of it. No lamp,no water. He also said it was a BP. O geez..

Yeah those are definitely boas, and have the potential to get quite huge, most likely over the 8 ft mark...:O
