    Opinions on a Normal
What do you guys think about this guy? He's for sale right now in my area and I like the looks. From the other pictures though and from the story he has bare minimums taken care of and his cage doesn't get cleaned often unfortunately.

I think it's a nice looking normal. If you like him and the price is right I would go for it. :)

He is really a nice looking BP. If he does it for you, then by all means pick him up. If you do I look forward to seeing more pics in the future.

Some people don't want to go and splash loads of money on a morph. I got a normal as my first and couldn't be happier that I did.

I personally think normals are beautiful. Just cause it's not a morph doesn't mean it's not worth getting. Or should save up for a morph. Plus it seems the op is trying to rescue that little guy. I would say get him. My first bp was a normal as well. She was such a aggressive little worm. Lol.

Thanks for the comments every one. To kind of address the saving up for a morph topic... I know it was many years ago and before BP breeding was where it's at now but even the Southerland's started out by getting almost all of their females from the classifieds instead of breeders. I do hope that this one is a female but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me if it wasn't. It was a kids pet that basically has moved on and out so now his mother has it and she doesn't want him. The pictures show shedding remaining in the enclosure and a dried up water bowl. The snake doesn't look unhealthy from the pictures but still should be housed better. I really liked the blushing as it goes almost all the way down it's back and he has some other neat traits too so I figured I'd get some other opinions on him before I made a decision. The lady was asking a bit much but I explained to her what I've seen on CL as far as pricing and how long the snake is advertised so we agreed on 40 dollars which I still think is about 20 too much. I can justify 40 though since this one is unique. So tomorrow I might be picking him up and another really nice looking Spider (One of my top favorite morphs) for 60 bucks. I'm not trying to get a 15 gene animal or the most expensive, yet. I'm just starting slow and hoping to grow into something awesome, if not then oh well I'm just the creepy guy with a room full of snakes and lizards lol

I'm glad your going to get the normal. On no time he will fat and happy in his new home with his new papa. Lol. Post more pics once he gets settled in to his new place.

I think you should get him if the price is right (and if he meets all of your requirements). I love normal ball pythons more than most morphs (with the exception of albinos, i love them) my first (and only) ball python is a normal.

    good decision to get it.
i will choose an exceptional normal like this over a mediocre quality codom...
