c_win, I split this topic off for you. I've seen a few fire balls online, but I'm ashamed to say, I can't recall what they were a combination of.

I have a picture of a supposed fire that was a mix of a pastel and spyder, but it does not look like othert fires. I can email out this picture if you want and maybe you could tell me what it is

Pastel X Spider = Bumblebee Spider

Fireball = "het" for black eyed leucistic.

Yes, there are Fireball Spiders - completely different animal than a Pastel X Spider.

Dunno about expert...that word just gives me the heebie jeebies of pompousness. How about we settle for "speaking from in-your-face-on-a-daily-basis experience?"

Yes, if you breed two fireballs you get luecsistic. But im not sure if what makes fireballs.

The idea is that one leucistic gene makes a fireball. Just like one pastel gene makes a pastel, and two pastel genes makes a super pastel. It is looking like one black-eyed leucistic gene makes a fireball and two genes makes a black-eyed leucistic. So the fireball isn't a combination of any other morphs, it's a morph of it's own that appears to be the visible het for one of the types of leucistic.

I noticed a post earlier in this thread that said 'go to Bob Clark.com, that's where it all began. That comment is completely incorrect, the Fireball morph was started in England by myself and Mike Kelly with 2:4 captive farmed imports from Ghana. Bob Clark purchased two of our first hatchling males in 2002, and to date has not produced any blackeyed leucistics from them. Mike Kelly and I have produced three blackeyed leucies and expect to produce more in 2005. Eric Davies
