Not sure which way to go here
I am looking for another male and I am not really sure which direction I should go in that would benefit my females the best. I am finally ready to breed next year and I have currently :
    Males
    Pied
    Pastel
    Albino

    Females
    Super Pastel
    Pewter
    Champagne
    Het Pied
    Mojave
Planning on adding several more females as well. BEL for sure, not sure what else.

However I want a multi gene male that will compliment my females a little better. Of the females that I have, 3 should be ready by next year. Super Pastel(ready now, just no male for her), pewter, and het pied(obviously she will go with my pied male). I love the way enchi lesser combos, and I ADORE what the leopard gene does to anything it touches. I have seen some nice pastel leopards lately, but I wonder if I shouldn't hold out for something else. So my question is, if you had about $500-1000 for a male, what would you go with? I am checking websites several times a day waiting for new babies, lol. I am just curious about your opinions. Thanks!
Genes that I am interested in adding are hypo, spotnose, enchi, spider, sugar, leopard.

    EmberBall
    Banana
    Ummm, Banana.

No brainier...close second would be GHI.

Spotnose is a cool morph, but get a female.

I do like GHI and of course bananas are spectacular. I just don't like how they speckle with age. And in a few years I will be able to get one much cheaper I believe. I may check out GHI prices...

How do you even breed for what benefits the female??? Benefits her in what way? Here's a thought..... breed for what benefits you and what you want to produce.;)

With that said dont bother buying a bel, just make your own, OR if you do get one, toss the mojave and just use a bel! (only looking at 300-400$ difference depending on size.

With your males, id Toss the pastel and get a Super pastel (not much more money,)

    For males id go

Pied(pastel pied if u can afford)
    Banana
Super pastel Special (makes wicked crystals)
    Phantom

    Females
BEL (either moj x moj or Mojave x Butter/lesser)
    Pewter
    Champange(if you want)
    Killerbee/Bumblebee
    Lesser

And for your het pied id go with a visual with het like

    Pastel het pied
    Clown het pied

Something like this, That way you can get some DH or just Pastel/Super pastel pieds.

Well I won't be tossing the pastel, he was my first BP and my baby. However I probably won't use him to breed. I already have the Pewter and champagne females and the pied male. Thank so much for the advice, maybe If I saw an adult banana now I'd like them better?

You can never have enough females, i know a few people with 100+Breeding females, and a good 5+ males, (they breed year round so its not 1 male to 30females a month =p)

Honestly with what you are interested in, I would combine a couple of those genes.
I would go with either a honeybee(hypo spider)
    http://www.regiusco.ca/images/python...erHoneyBee.jpg
    or an enchi sugar
    http://www.worldofballpythons.com/fi...-sugar/004.jpg
they look wicked and combinations with the sugar gene are some of my favorites.

    that's just my two cents

I have been looking floor a honeybee female, just haven't found one to my liking yet. And that sugar enchi is sweet! Problem is other than Mike Wilibanks, I haven't seen anyone with sugars. I'm not a calico fan even though some believe they are the same.

I think BHB has a honey bee female for around 300, and yeah I think Mike Wilbanks is about the only one working with the sugar gene at least that's where I will be going for my sugar male.
