    Ribs
Ok, I bred my pied female with a clown het pied male for several months. She ate then she refused feed (last ate on 5/9). On 2/17, she weighed 2495g. As of today (7/14), she weighs 2365g and I can see her ribs sticking out. I've never experienced this before. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Being that hefty I cant see how 130g would impact her visual appearance that much. Pictures would help in this case.

If she has ribs sticking out of her, than yes that is a problem!

X2. I can't even FEEL my snake's ribs. SEEING them? That is dangerously emaciated. It would have to be.

Is her spine raised up as well?

Does she look pear shaped in cross section, is her back end considerably wider than it used to be?

Yep. I think she is just gravid. Maybe it's the eggs that is pushing her ribs outward?

Is there another way to post pics other than using PhotoBucket?

The first pic is the pied and the second one is a closer look on her ribs.

Huh, that really is strange though she looks pretty fit from the first image. How does she feel? Can you easily feel other bones like her spine, does she feel under muscled and flabby?

If you could take more pictures with he more stretched out, maybe a belly shot, that might give people a better idea of what's going on here. I don't think she looks particularly gravid, early stages maybe, but it's hard to tell from that position.

I honestly wouldn't worry She doesnt look in bad shape at all... My pied has same figure(mind i dont see ribs) But it could be the eggs pushing her out maybe she has a nice big clutch!! Because she certainly has the nice plump look and the fat rolls i like to see when they coil.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking but I wanted to make sure. I will try and get a picture of her stretched out today.

Guess what? She laid 7 perfect eggs this morning. No slugs and the eggs were all pearly white. I'm stoked. She was paired with clown het pied.
