Introducing......

Hi folks. I got my first BP about 2.5 weeks ago and got my first digital camera on Sunday. My family has also kept Desert Tortoises for a long time and we have had 5 babies hatch within the last week. I decided to keep one and it hatched ON my birthday. =) Enjoy!

Very nice shots - nice looking members of the family you have there - and have to agree with the general consensus meatball is irresistable.

That tort is adorable. Damit now you are making me want one! Like I need to add to the collection any more. :)

Meatball is a Desert Tortoise, which is currently listed as an endangered species. We got the mother (her name is "Crunch" because that's the sound she makes when eating). This is the third time we have bred her in the last 12 years or so that we have had her.

Hehe, yep, they both are very cute and Meatball has been very energetic so far. He moves very fast and east any kind of green veggie I put in front of his little mouth. His "beak" is actually stained green from the food he is eating.
