Stopping for a nap?
I will often take my girl out and let her roam my bed when it seems shes ready to explore, but sometimes she'll just stop on my blanket and just... Lay there. As if shes sleeping. Is she? Or is she just looking, planning where to go next? I do know if i put a blanket on my lap she'll curl up and sleep. Any thoughts?

Its hard to tell when they are sleeping, Though when i open up a tub and there head is kinda flat and or sideways, i can tell they are asleep specially when i touch them they perk up and huff at me LOL

Im pretty sure when she curls up in her little hide and hides her little head shes taking a snooze. I know she hates it if i bother her! Lol

I wondered that about my boy the other day, I gave him a bath after he made a mess of his tub, I had him wrapped in a towel. He usually doesn't stay still in my lap but he seemed to enjoy being in the towel. He stuck his head out and rested it and didn't move for atleast half an hour... It was kinda nice haha, he didn't move until I started moving.. I'm not sure he was asleep, but he definitely seemed content :)

The snake is planning a precise course of action. The months and months of silent internal negotiations have lead up to this point in time. It's now or never. And when you're back is turned...
Nah, your snake is just resting (perhaps not sleeping). Could be many things :)
Snake's gunna snake! :snake:

If I sit down and watch TV with my Ball Python, he'll start sleeping. :)

...they lose all tension and stop moving at all? My snake sleeps wrapped around my throat/shoulders. I know he's asleep because he stops tongue flicking, stops rhythmically massaging my neck, stops moving around, and breathes deeply and evenly. Seriously, total lack of tension, scenting the air, moving around at all, steady breathing.... He's either asleep or he's unconscious for some other reason. Once he started to slip and fall he was so out. He caught himself/tightened up again and resumed a normal amount of muscle tension but he was OUT.
