Need advise on a bad looking egg!
Alright, so we cut our Clown x Pastel het Clown clutch. One of the eggs started to look bad few days after incubating, but it dodn't smell bad and had veins so we kept it with the rest. Here are a few pictures of the eggs after cutting so you can see the color and size difference:

And here is a look inside the "bad" egg:

Baby is alive and moving, which is good, but on the right side inside you can see this greyish, thing which we believe might be an egg yolk. Or is it something else?
Also the colors of the baby are off - we're not sure what morph is that, but that's not the most mportant right now.
What do you think we should do for now? The rest is starting to poke their heads out. Should we cut it more to see if it's tangled or just let it be? Maybe it needs more time (colors are off)?
Any advise would be nice :)

Quite a quandary there.....
You can even see the tiny veins still intact. The mass inside does look like unabsorbed yolk (and bad yolk at that). Probably a twisted cord. I would lean that way especially if it is the only baby not coming out of the egg.
I would personally try to save it and be prepared to tie off a cord.
I just had a hatchling crawl out of the egg and it had a HUGE yolk still intact. So large the hatchling could not pull it out of the egg!! I was worried the hatchling would cut the cord on the egg, so I removed the baby and yolk and put it in the warmest tub of my hatchling rack. The cord was twisted a few times. I rotated the yolk so the cord was straight and the yolk is already half the size after one day. Hatchling is still on high alert. Looking great.... just a bit lethargic.

Actually the rest is just sticking their heads out, not that they are outside already. Should I wait one more day until the rest comes out and then cut this egg open to see if it's ok, or should I cut it now? What do you think?
Thanks for a quick reply :).

If you believe the cord is twisted, then I wouldn't wait. We lost one last year waiitng and didn't know the cord was twisted. As Corey above said, you could remove the baby, egg sac and all and place it on a wet paper towel, while it absorbs. If its twisted then you can remedy that immediately. Best of luck.

I would take prompt action ASAP.

Ok, so I opened the egg a bit more, and this is how it looks like:

The baby is alive, but it's really tiny, has no kinks or any deformd parts, but it has cloudy eyes (like in shed). Also the egg yolk doesn't look twisted or anything. I placed it with the egg in a delicup on moist paper towels and we will see. Need some more advise please :).

That's a weird one. Has the female been bred before. Pretty strange for a clown x pastel get clown. Hope he pulls through for ya. Looks really cool

Well it looks fully formed just small. Maybe you will beat 15g...
-
They coloration makes me think he's behind the others in terms of development since color is usually the last thing to come in.
-
The head doesn't quite look fully developed to me, like the shape is not as defined as it should be...that could easily be an optical illusion because of the egg goo. I agree it looks like the colors aren't all the way developed yet, and egg goo isn't going to affect that much... So... I think somehow this one hasn't developed as fast as the rest (assuming they are ready to come out, I don't think I saw any pics of them?).
I don't really have any advice, as this is well beyond my expertise level, but I hope the little one makes it. That pattern looks pretty interesting.

I covered him back and put him in a delicup. The head looks a little bit different then usuall. I checked on him today and he's barely moving :(.

Re: Need advise on a bad looking egg!
I wish him the best of luck! Hopefully he will pull through and just be a little late in coming out of the egg. I had a similar situation with a panther chameleon egg a couple weeks ago. I kept humidity up during the process. Donny pulled through and I think he's going to make it so with luck yours will too.

in the deli cup ensure there is minimal space for moving around, keep the paper moist and warm and he should develop fine. I'm thinking maybe he didn't get enough heat during incubation.
-
Sadly, the baby died :(. I pulled it out and it had a little deformed head, but other then that it looked good.
The heat was distributed all around the same, and on top of that, that egg was closest to the heating source inside the incubator. All other babies are fine. Maybe there was something wrong with the egg yolk or maybe it died because of the little deformed head. I don't know, but I guess things like that will happen unfortunatelly :(.
Thanks for advise anyway guys :).

I'm sorry you lost the little guy. :(
