I'd leave them. If they have not pipped by the time you get back, you can consider cutting if you are comfortable with it. Just ensure you air the tub and wipe any condensation off the lid before you leave. They will be fine.

Thanks... I was thinking of cutting at day 53 so they would have 2 days to come out before I left on my trip and I would be able to put them in tubs....

I'm new to this, but would leave them alone. They'll come out when theyre ready whether you cut or not. I cut on day 53 and didn't have a pip until 55 or 56.

If you can't check on them everyday after you cut till they pip, I would wait till you can before I'd cut. Just cause you cut early does not mean they will pip early. Sometimes they take over a week to pip after cutting at day ~52- 53.

If you will be back on Day 58, I would leave them be and see where they are when you get back.

We cut on day 53, went away for 4 days, and came back to a tub full of little noodles. They should be just fine

Should I drop the temp a little so they stay in the egg a little longer... how does that sound..

I'd just leave them be. Like someone else said, air the tub out and wipe any condensation off the lid before you go.
Also, I noticed you said you would give them 2 days to come out and put them in their own tubs. I've read that once they emerge, you should keep them all in the incubator together in a tub with some moist paper towel until they shed.

+ 1 on leaving them alone. but i'd poke some holes on the lid for good measure, if it was my clutch.....

As long as temps are stable outside of the incubator and correct temps are provided you don't have to keep them in the incubator. Honestly I pull mine when they emerge and they each go into their own tub. A lot of this hobby is trial and error, everyone does it their own way and as long as it works for them it is the right way :D

I do agree with everyone else though about leaving them alone, even if they do emerge when you are gone there is no harm in leaving them in the tub they were incubated in for a few days.

    Stop stressing.

Once they pip they typically spend a week huddled together in the corner of the tub until they shed anyway.

I pull them once they come out of the egg and put them together in one tub in the rack until they shed, but they can just as easily be left in the incubator.

Make sure there's air holes. Saw someone lose a clutch because they left for the weekend and the hatchlings didn't have oxygen supply when they hatched while he was gone.

Going away on day 53 and cutting at day 53, so they have two days to come out before you leave. Really?
