5 big healthy eggs weighing in at 482g, averaging 96.4g per egg.
This is her first clutch, she is a 2011 who weighed 1536g a few days before her ovulation. Post lay weight is 928g (wow that took a lot out of her!)
Using a substrate-less method - just water and egg grates

She was sold to me as a normal spider for $150 + a nice exo terra cage and male harly crested gecko. I eventually came into contact with the seller (local). The person they bought her from claimed to have bred her and that she was a normal spider. But no one knows their contact info to be able to get more info. I'm hoping she's got something extra in there!:D

Thanks =) I love her! She didn't even try to bite while I took her off her eggs. Just for eye candy sake here is a pic of her in the middle of breeding season, shows her color and pattern well

That is currently the largest consensus on what she is =) second is stinger bee, 3rd is something that may or may not be genetic causing reduced pattern and lightening/brightening her color

Oh and I forgot - all 5 candled BEAUTIFULLY. Nice, strong and thick veins. Sorry if they aren't the best pictures, I was using my cell phone with a light app...I'm going to pick up a little flashlight soon so I can get in there better.

I don't think fire spiders have any whites do they? Hers go up medium-ish

No Fire in her. Would have a clean belly and she surely has belly markings.

Thanks everyone for the nice words! I'm beyond excited. Can't even describe how it felt finding those eggs. I can tell you my hands were shaking like a leaf haha. Coolest thing, ever!!!

Congrats! Mama is a looker too. Can't wait to see what pops out of those eggs. Lol, my hands were shaking too when I found mine. :)

Great way to begin the madness, 5 eggs from a smoking "mystery Mama". Makes for great drama on hatch day. Congrats!!!

All that along with her spots tends have me leaning towards Leopard Spider...

That has been what I'm thinking too. She "reminds" me of a stinger, but she doesn't scream stinger. You're right about her spine, it is lighter but no where near as dramatic. And she does not have the 'pixelated' look. I think the spots is what is making people think that too. But to me she doesn't scream leopard either. I REALLY wish I knew what her parents were!

Woke this morning to see the first pip...Can't wait to get home from work to see if any others have. I will update this thread until I am able to see all babies and then I will make a new one for them. Those water spots turned up literally over night, they were not there last night. Humidity has been 97% + , they've just dimpled a lot recently. Hope that means they're all ready, happy and fat!
