Could someone explain the redstripe
I would like to know more about it. Pics and explaining what to look for would be awesome. Also what the genetics of it are please.

Just another ball named by a color blind person who doesn't know what the color "Red" is.
I think the original Red Stripe was imported and thought to be a new line of....
Genetic Stripe. If you buy a Red Stripe (RS), there is a chance it could be a long lost Het G Stripe too. My Pastel RS is really nice looking. The singe gene RS is not mind blowingly beautiful, but a nice morph none the less. There is a cool Super, and the Super RS Genetic Stripe (Red Devil) is wicked looking. Still not a ton of people working with them and the price has come way down. A good solid project in my opinion.

This is my male Pastel RS possible Het G Stripe (his mom was a proven Het). I will probably end up holding him back.

This is the female RS I produced, a holdback and sibling to the male Pastel above.

Re: Could someone explain the redstripe
Beautiful animals. I see what it does in the combo but the base I am not seeing a whole lot. I see good flames and a light head as well as partial striping. Is that what is looked for in the morph? Or am I completely blind? I should say I am looking from a phone so I might not be getting the entire impact of it.

Re: Could someone explain the redstripe
Well form what i can see, That the very nice female RS:D has solid patterns up her sides, And a clean but broken stripe down her back. And some white coming up from her belly. Typical 'wild type' or is that the RS? I don't look at many wild types but they are nice.
Re: Could someone explain the redstripe
For what I can see the brown is more reddish .. not sure why that deserves a morph of it's own..

Re: Could someone explain the redstripe
I am doing a red stripe project as well and have a pair that I'm growing up. They are from the same dam but have different sires. The Yellowbelly gene in the young female seems to sharpen the "red" and bring out the pattern more distinctly. Overall, she is lighter than the male. I'll put up pics later.

The Red in Redstripe is short for "Reduced" and not the color red. ;)
