    New Hognose
Went to a local reptile expo yesterday and couldn't resist. Haven't come up with a name for him yet.

The local pet store has 3 little ones. Love the colors on this one.

Thanks both of you. Colton, his coloring is part of the reason I snatched him up. The others I saw were the more normal looking brown/black looking hogs. He had more of a reddish tint to him so he stood out to me. Good thing I bought him right at the beginning of the show though. I went back to the sellers table about an hour later and he only had one Hognose left. He had about 13 when I bought mine lol.

Adorable. You should call him cherries jubilee. The red triangle dots remind me of cherries. :)

That's a cute idea! They DO sort of look like cherries. I have to get used to his quickness. I'm so used to my balls that when you take them out sort of sit there or when they do move it's slower. This little guy is lightning quick. That's why I had to hold him to get a picture. He wouldn't sit still long enough any other way lol.

Hopefully you aren't allergic to the venom if you get bit 😳

He's nice! My male looks somewhat similar, but not quite as red.. I hope you have good luck feeding yours. Mine has been a little turd when it comes to feeding. :/ I've heard that many hogs can be this way, so maybe you will beat the odds and get a little porker. Good luck with him!

I hope he eats good but if not he can't be any worse than my black pastel. He never wants to eat lol.

Baby hogs are the best. If you agitate them enough, sometimes they'll play dead. So adorable!

Unfortunately sometimes if you agitate them enough, they'll bite you, so maybe don't do that... But still! "Dead" baby hoggies are totally squee-worthy. I'm super excited for our hognose eggs to hatch <3
