Husbandry is going to be pretty simple, as long as you get the proper caging. I say this because they require constant humidity of 70%+. The warm and cool sides should be around 78/88. I use cypress for my bedding which helps in a few ways. First, it helps with that high humidity requirement, and second, it allows them to burrow under it which they do a lot for me. You can use other bedding as well, such as; cocohusk, reptibark, or newspaper (with humid hides, moss is good for those).

I actually just purchased one. Living gem reptiles is great. Look them up. They have a face book and online site. You can also find some of their BRB's on faunaclassifieds.com they can answer all your questions. Hope that helps

There are several facebook groups, "brazilian rainbow boa" "Rainbow Boa Appreciation" and "Rainbow boa classifieds", all have some really good people to deal with in them.

88f is really a bit high for brazilians, most of the time you'll see about 82 for a hot spot recommended, a lot of the guys I know don't even go over 85 for gravid females. Get a cage set up with minimal air flow through it and keep your humidity up and they're no big deal to keep.

I've been keeping mine on it and Stella my female, stays on the warm side 99% of the time. Every now and again I'll catch her on the ambient end.

I highly suggest Rainbows R Us. They have really high quality rainbows and are very knowledgeable.

I second Rainbows R Us... Dave Colling is one of the most professional in the business. I bought one from him this year and would buy from him again.

I just bought a BCI from Dave this weekend at expo. He's really awesome to do business with!

He's very friendly with his customers, and very helpful.

His rainbows are GORGEOUS! I saw some BRB from another vender and they were nothing compared to Dave's. Wow!
If I had another $200 on me, I would have picked one up for sure.

Planning to buy a nice High-red from him in the next 2 or so years :3
