heck ya !! but sometimes they will refuse food that can stress the crud outta you but i never had a problem with that, just get a captive born or bred and you should be good to go . Mine is a wild collected/captive born usually those are the problem feeders but i guess i got lucky, i was warned not to get it but i did anyway and im glad it turned out the way it did. Did you just get one or are you goin to get one soon, how old are you ?

well bps eat mice so i dunno if you okay with feeding a snake mice, and some snakes do get very large,so watch out for burmese pythons, reticulated pythons and boas, most of them grow VERY large like 20 feet or less, ball pythons stay around 3-4 and MAYBE 5 feet (but that is considerd large for a ball python.).Maybe get a corn snake, they are cool, i also have one of those.

a bp won't bite you unless it's self defense. normally it will hiss or just snap at you...mine has never hissed, but has snapped a few times...but usually it will just ball up...hense, the name "ball python"...
they DON'T have huge fangs..i don't have experiance with getting bitten by a ball python, so i don't have a "yes" or "no" answer to your "does it hurt?" question.
If you're slow and gentle with your snake, you shouldn't have a problem with him getting defensive. just treat it like a tiny baby....just be very very gentle.
11 seem a little young in my oppinion.

They're full grown around 3 years old, give or take a few years. So do you plan on living by yourself when you're 14-15? ;)

You won't need a huge room. An adult ball python can live comfortably in a 30 gallon tank. 40 is preferred though. :)
