Just tried to eat my neck...?

So I fed Jack 2 days ago and decided to let him out for a few today. Last weight was end of March at 205 g and I fed him 33 grams on the 14th of April. He was chilling up by my shoulder/neck and decided to go for my jugular.....seriously...I was watching him in the mirror...scared me a bit but then my heart rate went back down and all was okay.....has anyone else experienced this? Does that mean he is still hungry....or just a little crap today? He was content to come out and never balled up at all.....??? He hasn't struck at anyone since the first week we had him...any thoughts? Thanks

My girl does that all the time, he may be still hungry. They just simply open the mouth and try to bite without striking... May also have been a yawn...also a sign he's hungry.

No.... def not a yawn... I watched him go for my jugular...wasn't a fast strike like he does for food.....but he was def trying to taste me! LoL

Like peoples said, probably a sign of hunger. My cali king does this with my fingers when he is super hungry.

Of course, he might just like you in a special way and was trying to get a necking session with you. ;)

It will scare the heck out of you...lol also odd question... do you use ivory soap... If so that might be the issue, when my female won't eat i wash the chick with ivory soap always does the trick...

I use herbal essence body wash.....since he just ate two days ago when would be a good time to weigh again? I bought more rats and am expecting them on Thursday....and bought pups (which he is eating now) and weaned....

I have been feeding every 5-7 days. I had purchased fuzziness....so have been offering two instead of one to equal around 30 grams.....he refused to eat while he was shedding on 3/27. Offered 2 but only ate one on 4/2 19 grams and then again on the 7th....ate 2/ 27 grams.... just realized his last feeding was 7 days instead of 5...and that was 4/14 and he took 2/ 33 grams. So I had been feeding every 5 days but with his shed and refusal to eat it got out of whack. The person I bought him from told me he was about a year old...but he was only weighing 177 grams. Last weight was 205 grams when I noticed he was getting ready to shed. My guess is he is hungry. I will feed again at 5 days and hope for the best.
