This was just something that took my breath away! This is a Killerbee from my line pastel getting ready to ovulate, but her color is mind blowing.

My original Pastel female from this line.

I got her in whenever she was a baby, not even knowing she was a Pastel, but through some years of breeding and me being very confused on why she was throwing Pastels, she's probably the nicest line of Pastel I've seen to date!

That's crazy. If someone posted that picture in the "Is this a morph" forum, I would have said with 100% certainty that it wasn't a pastel. If pushed to guess an actual morph, I would have gone with something in the hypo family. But never would have pegged that one for pastel based on that particular picture, at least. I don't see a single pastel trait that I usually look for. Pretty wild that she would throw pastel babies that led to such a spectacular killerbee!

I agree 100%! My first clutch with her was a Clown x "normal" and I hatched 5/5 Pastels from the clutch, it threw me for a loop since she's never seen one. So I just held everything back and tried a Spotnose to her the next year and produced Pastel Spotnoses, in the meantime I've made Pastel Clowns and Killer Clowns by breeding the original offspring together. I've also produced many other clutches since then. Crazy how some genetics work!

Wow that has to be the nicest killer bee I've ever seen!! And I totally agree with the hypo comment! That was my first thought, can't believe that girl is a pastel that's amazing! :) thanks for sharing. This is why this hobby is too freaking cool.

I second this question. The snake in your avatar pic is gorgeous.
