Question for you all....

Has anyone here purchased snakes from Evan Stahl?? On January 27th I ordered a pair of spotnose ball pythons from him, with the understanding that he would hold them til weather warmed up to allow safe shipping. Well, now that it has warmed up some and there have been a couple of good shipping windows I have been trying to contact him to arrange shipping. I have left him voicemails, and emailed him and I get no response. I did file a claim with Paypal (knowong it would get closed since 45 days has passed), mainly just to try to get his attention. After I did that I got 1 email from him saying " emails keep bouncing back", I replied telling him that was strange and also mentioned I have left voicemails for him that he failed to respond to. Havent heard from him since, and he won't return calls or emails. You guys think I should contact my credit card co or what? I'm pretty pissed that I have apparently been scammed.

I've never dealt with him, but from what I've read it can be hit or miss...

How long has it been since he last contacted you?

April 3rd is when I got an email from him saying " emails keep bouncing back ". I have since left a couple more voicemails and tried email contact and I get zero response.

I can't access facebook from where I'm at, but looks like he has an account there...see if he's been active on it...

The only 2 Evan Stahl profiles I have found on Facebook are not the Evan Stahl I'm looking for. He is based in Michigan.

Nothing but lies! "Oh I did not know that about facebook???" He has messaged me a dozen times on facebook, which I have answered all of! I did not return your calls because I was out helping a family member and I come home and my caller id shows 5 calls from him in one night! I do not need to deal with that. His emails go to my spam folder, which I do not always think to check. Every question he had was answered in a timely manner through facebook messenges. I am on facebook at Evan Stahl Reptiles which has been the name of my business for 25 years! I have nothing but happy customers on facebook, on kingsnake, on this site! And on many others. There have been two recent decent weather days here for shipping, one was a Saturday and the other I was occupied with a family matter. Life happens. There is more in this world than shipping reptiles and I am sorry. I offered to ship Monday and have half a dozen shipments going out Monday, but that was not fast enough apparently. I then offered a full refund and got a threat in return. Funny how nobody ever posts both sides of the transaction, just what the other person does.

First of all, I didn't find you on Facebook until sho220 provided that link. Second, I had tried contacting you a few times by phone prior, and a couple times via email and got zero response. I have not messaged you " a dozen times on facebook" , the first time was on april 9th, and you responded that you had been busy and would arrange shipment very soon....then you went silent again. I still have all of the facebook messages from both sides, mine and yours. You NEVER offered to ship Monday...you sent me a profanity laden message saying you would refund my money on Monday, after i posted on your wall that i thought your customer service was horrible. I never "threatened" you. When you said you would refund my money Monday, I said good, and if you haven't I'll be calling my credit card company. If that's what you consider a threat, fine, so be it. Then after I told you that, you told me to just go through my credit card company and not to contact you again or it would be considered harrassment. I told you that I wasn't threatening you, but I wasn't going to just sit back and let you screw me, your reply was " I've never screwed anyone, talk to your credit card company, goodbye." I can take a screenshot and post the whole conversation if that's what you would like.

And, as far as "5 calls in 1 night"...that's total bs. It's all logged on my phone. 4/1/14 2:45 pm, 4/8/14 11:33 am & 5:41 pm and the final attempt at calling was 4/9/14 5:13 pm.

Please bring this to Fauna BOI as it gets more information out there. Present all evidence you have (screen shots, emails including the one where he says the emails bounced back). I have contemplated purchasing from him before, but decided against it based on BOI on Fauna, and I'm glad I did. But that's just my two cents.

I love the shots that you guys decide to take at me, the name calling and the negativity that you have towards me when there is nothing but positive things about me on this very site, positive posts about me all over facebook, all over youtube, kingsnake, and so many other sites. Then you want to talk about a couple negative posts on fauna? How about the HUNDREDS of positive posts on fauna? How about me being a top rated dealer on fauna for over a decade with ZERO negative experiences and several pages of positives?? I am very tired of being convicted of something by people jumping to believe somebody just because they post something on the internet. I have been in this business for over 25 years. I have sold hundreds of thousands of animals and yet there are a tiny handful of negative experiences about me posted on the net. you guys want to use that to characterize me, how about using the 99%+ of my customers who are happy with their purchases to characterize me??? Would you like to talk to some of the pet store owners that have been buying their animals from me for decades? How about talking to the show promoters who have proudly had me and my animals at their shows for their customers for decades?? how about not judging somebody based on the word of one person who does not know them, has never met them, has never seen their animals and does not care if the animals arrive dead or alive just as long as they get shipped right away?

I've seen enough positive to weigh out the negative! Everyone has someone who wants to bash them!
I am looking to purchase a male pinstripe soon and would be glad to do business with you!
I have never purchased a snake via shipping, but feel comfortable to purchase my first through you!

It doesn't matter how many positive transactions you have. It's how you handle the bad ones

There's no doubt you have a lot of positive feedback on transactions that have gone well. But it seems to me that any time there's the slightest problem, you flip out and blow a gasket and start ranting and raving...If I buy a snake and something doesn't go as planned, I don't want to feel like the breeder is gonna flip out, blame everything on me, and tell me to go F myself because he has all this great feedback from other transactions. I realize selling can be frustrating and aggravating at times, but it seems like you could handle things a little more level headed than you do...
