Introducing the Mardi Gras ball. Aka The Enchi Freeway
In case you missed it, here it is. He really is stunning, and far better than I was expecting.
We hope you like it as much as we do here. I'll post some post shed pics when he sheds out.

Here is a Freeway for comparison. I love how dark these are!

It's amazing that the enchi lightens the colors so much...You'd think there was an albino gene in there somewhere. Great looking snake!

Yeah thats why i wish people would keep the names simple.
Then again everyone wants to "make a name" for themselves.

= AYE. C'mon, the acronym is a great name in of itself!

We're probably all nerds here in some capacity, so you can just look at a snake like that and in your best renaissance fair accent go, "Aye."

Really gorgeous snake, one of my favorites I've ever seen. I've never paid attention to asphalt before but now it's on my radar.

since asphalt and gravel are so similar, i would expect the enchi highway (enchi YB gravel) to be equally nice. maybe even better.

when i compare all the highway-combos to all the freeway-combos, and given the choice, i think i would pick gravel over asphalt. but then, you never know what the next combo looks like until its done.

Freeway and Highway are far from similar. I have both and they are vastly different.... So I would expect the combos to act differently as well.

Also, this is the first freeway combo made so far so not sure where you are seeing "all the freeway combos"?

Looking at all the photos listed on WOBP between the two they are similar. The amount of contrast variations on the Highway looks so close to the Freeway that I would call them the same. Prove it wrong and make a super form and lets see from there.
Call me whatever but again everyone wants to slap a name on this and that. At least they are the same "way"

i could have been more clear, there really arent many asphalt / freeway combos right now, basically just the super asphalt, freeway, and now enchi freeway. the thing is that i love the super gravel, its a stunner, and the super asphalt doesnt fit my personal taste like super gravel does. and highway combos tend to look much better than regular highway. i think the enchi freeway is really awesome, but it would need a few more of these, and all of them need to be really nice, before i can say that asphalt is more exciting than gravel. gravel is setting the bar very high.

we need more combos that can be compared, like obviously an enchi highway, and some freeway-combos that have been done with highway, like spider freeway, pastel freeway. but the homozygous super-forms, super gravel and super asphalt, look different enough to assume that its different genes.

The super asphalt is a lot different from the super gravel. Wish you all the best with your attitude there buddy. Hope you have a wonderful day! I know I'm enjoying mine.

Also on WoBP, it's because there is Adey Haighs freeway pics on the highway. Thanks for pointing out that correction. No wonder why there is confusion...

Re: Introducing the Mardi Gras ball. Aka The Enchi Freeway
These two are the same snake. First pic was placed in highway section on WoBP and second was the same snake only older put on freeway on WoBP. Looks like the community has been confused on the appearance of highway vs. freeway because this freeway was posted in the wrong section for a long time. Adey has been contacted to get it fixed. None of highways have ever looked like this. Ever. So I can see the confusion for people who don't own the mutations. But yes there is a large difference between the morphs. The originator for the highways have publicly agreed many times. I'm simply a breeder who has invested in both and enjoy both but this snake below is a freeway, not a highway.

Well I still didnt stutter and my attiture is rather nice at the moment so you can quit with the :sarcasm:

I pointed out the WOBP because their listings do not vary other than light to dark in the photos.
Maybe if they are wrong they should take some time to correct that as well as utilise the descriptions of claimed morphs.
And still missed my point........... maybe i would have found the super form of the Asphalt had I been looking for "The 401 Ball".
Yes your animal is beautiful to look at but the names are getting to a point that you cant tell what is what anymore.
Nuff said. I am done here for now.

Great looking snake! I do have to agree on the name thing though. I understand if its a 5banger snake that has a mile long name...but a two gene snake does not need its own name.

I would say since he produced it,he can name it whatever he wants.
