    OMG. They're here!!!
I knew it was any day now, but I just about died. Got my first ever clutch of eggs last night! I was so excited I was shaking. My daughter was running around the living room going "oh my god, oh my god, eee!". Lol. 6 perfect pearly whites. They all candled well, and the clutch weighed in at 722 grams. The wait is going to kill me....

Congrats!!! I know you're super stoked and PROUD. Just an fyi, sitting in front of the incubator does not cause a faster hatch rate. Crossing my fingers for enchi bees!

Congrats on your first clutch! Mamma looks amazing! I'm hoping you can hit the 4 gene! Try to be patient while you wait. I know it's super hard and I failed miserably with my first clutch. Just look forward to the feeling you get when you see them pip! Nothing beats little heads poking out of the eggs.

I know, right? I think as much as the just waiting for the babies in general, is dying to know who the daddy is! So many things I could get!

I meant just that I failed with waiting! I ended up cutting my clutches last year. This year I'm trying to let them pip naturally. I did lose one egg in my first clutch and 4 of 6 in my second (still not sure why I lost so many eggs in my second clutch).

At any rate, I wish you the best of luck with this clutch! I'm still waiting on ovulations over here :/

Oh. That's a bummer. :( I will not be cutting. Those little suckers are coming out on their own! Lol. I'm too scared to mess something up! I'd be too scared just to actually cut them! Lol. What if I got a baby? Nope. No cutting here.

I was scared too...then I just did it. I cut on day 52 and I had to wait until day 56 for pips. I was SOOOOOOO stressed out after I cut them because I was worried they would dry out. I think if they didn't pip when they did, I would have gotten an ulcer from all the stress. So this time around I'm just letting them pip on their own to relieve that stress. It's far better to just be impatient than stress.

I cut my first clutch also, trust me it's harder to cut one of the babies than you think. I cut on day 52 and the wait killed me for pippers on day 56, i also had to add water to a few about 3 days after, plus making sure no bacteria got in... Too much stress... Will be letting them pip for sure this year

Yesterday was day 32 for my eggs. If I am not mistaken in what I'm seeing (which I very well could be, I've never done this before), 3/6 of my eggs are showing what appears to be spider pattern. If you look just below watermark in the pictures, you can see what I'm talking about. Anyhow, we are just excited to see what's in these eggs! :-)

Yep! All have great veins, and we've seen movement in them all too!

Congrats! At day 32 you are not likely to see pattern - those are just increased networks of veins. I think color and pattern don't come in until after day 45 or so.

I knew color came in late. But doesn't pattern come in before that? Hmm. I didn't see those 5 or 6 days ago, I also didn't see it in the other 3 eggs. They seem very consistent with spider pattern. They also didn't appear "on the egg" like the other veins are. We marked them, so we will see.

I see what you mean now - those could be the beginnings of some spider pattern. Nice!

I see it now, so if it is a spider, those would be the lines going down towards the belly, right?
