New in this forum from Istanbul.

Hi everyone. First of all sorry for my English. Maybe sometimes I will make some mistakes. I want to tell you about my situation in my country. In Turkey this is illegal to buy or sell snakes. They are not pet animals in Turkey. So there are so few people who knows reptiles. We don't have reptile vets. We don't have reptile products. And of course we don't have feeders. So think about that you are taking care of reptiles and you are making your products not buy http://www.worldofballpythons.com/fo...lies/smile.png this is very bad. I could find some Exo-Terra products I love Exo-Terra. So these are my reptiles:

1.1.1 Crested Geckos
2.2 Panther Chameleon
0.1 Bearded Dragon
1.0 Brazilian Rainbow Boa
1.0 Bumblebee Ball Python

0.0.1 Pacman Frog

and also I have some tarantulas:

So I am in this forum because of my Bumblebee http://www.worldofballpythons.com/fo...lies/smile.png He is amazing. I love him very much. I have boa and python. they are different. Their eating drinking attacking all of these movements are diffrent. My ball is very shy.

Welcome to the forum. Your English is is just fine :) you have a nice collection.I wish I owned that bee that you have. How do you get your snakes if it's illegal. I don't mean anything by my question I'am just curious, and trying to learn something new. Again welcome to the forum, and please post more pictures, your collection looks great.

@Tigerhawk Thank you very much :) I have some special techniques to get reptiles :D We got them from European countries, while we are crossing the border line we hide our reptiles so security cannot find them. This is high-risk. Too dangerous :) but I love these animals too much. They are amazing..

Absolutely yes. But there is a problem. Petshops never sold female rodents. I ask for female but they don't sell. They don't want us to breed our rodents so they can earn money from us. They only sell gonzales females. But I don't want to feed my snakes with gonzales. Thanks a lot :)

So you got females from outside the country also. You are a hardcore Herper. Whats a Gonzales?

Yes I got them from outside. Gonzales is a hamster. They are small but they always attacks and bites. Dangerous for balls :(thanks. I wish our country let us to take care of reptiles. So petshops would buy reptile products and we can buy reptile products. If I live other country which is legal to buy reptiles I would make a palace to my reptiles

Welcome to the BP.net Much respect for doing what you have to do in order to enjoy your hobby. I was stationed in Batman, Turkey two times in the 1990's. Turkey is a beautiful country and I always enjoyed my tours there.

Thanks a lot. Really ? I ve never been in Batman. So what were you doing in Batman. There are better citys to see in Turkey but I think your tour was about nature :)

so, keeping snakes is fine, but you cannot buy or sell them.

thats weird. at least you can keep them. how about trading and re-homing snakes, if there is no money involved, so that its not a sale?

about the rats: its hard to believe that you cannot find a way to get female rats. but then, its a really sneaky tactic: the breeders dont let go of any females, so others cannot get into their market and they have a monopoly.

maybe you could look for lines of lab rats, these are sold as laboratory products for medical / biological research. maybe a lab, university, or research institute can get a few for you. or you need to make friends with some rat breeders. or you need to catch one in the night-time wilderness of a major city.


on a side-note: weird things are happening in Turkey, i hope you soon get youtube and twitter back. its ridiculous that just because your president cannot deal with criticism, he treats platforms like youtube and twitter as some kind of "people" that are "out to get him", while they are really just tools to communicate and share information. and then he brags about how powerful he is and how he displayed his strength and determination.... by blocking two of the most important services the internet has to offer. its so ridiculous, i have to keep myself from describing this person, because right now i could not come up with a description that would not involve lots of foul language. i hope these internet bans dont last for long.

Pythonfriend, sorry to interrupt your efforts in Space Shuttle maintenance, but you really seem to have a knack for getting threads thrown into the QT. Ever wonder why that is? Exhibit number one, look at this political crap you just used to hi-jacked furciferpardalis' thread. And putting it in real small font doesn't change anything genius. You are a real piece of work. If you want to rant about political or religious themed issues, why don't you just start them in the QT where that flotsam belongs. @Pythonfriend no keeping snakes or keeping any reptiles is illegal. But if anybody doesn't know that there isn't any problem for me :) yes I called university I searched labarotories but I CANNOT find females. Turkey is an interesting country. I hate from my government. What is meaning ofbanning twitter and youtube ? I don't want to call him president but Tayyip scared from us, he scared from twitter. We only don't share pictures or comments we share informations. He knows that and Tayyip's supporters understand that they are doing wrong. Tayyip stole money, a lot of money from Turkey, from us. He steal and bought his son a ship ?? He always uses religion in his interwievs. So our people are emotional. They believe Tayyip so they vote for him. But they are silly. They only see what Tayyip shows. They can not see the reality. They are escapist. We use our brains for fighting but he only use police to keep us quiet. He is a liar. Justice will be served. I can't understand what you want to say that in blue form of your writing. I will post more pictures. I will female ball for breeding. Maybe I can breed them two years later when they grow up.
