King Baby

I have been looking at the King Snakes for awhile and I have decided to find me a baby there is so many Beautiful ones I'm having a hard time choosing lol Looking at the Striped High Red Goins King at the Big Apple Pet Supply, The Albino Aberrant California King,the high white California King and the white sided Brook's King. Like I said its a tough choice but I only want one King My tank is ready and In my quarantine room just waiting for me to buy the baby.:)

I'm reading everything I can find :snake:here on the Kings and any Input would be great like on temperament of the different ones mentioned above :snake:

If you are getting a hatchling they might musk on you. That's a line of defence of theirs. Doesn't always happen but some will. They generally grow out of it with proper handling. I don't think I have ever seen/had a nippy baby but there is a chance that could happen. Again it generally goes away with proper handling. Kings usually have very aggressive eatting responses. Some will just strike at anything when in food mode.

They are pretty cool snakes to get into. Doesn't really matter what type you get. Pretty easy to care for. Lots of nice lookig ones like you hae already mentioned. Don't forget about Mexican Blacks too.

The first pic looks really sweet. I prefer kings myself. Not a big fan of corns. Some jungle corns can look cool though.

I have made a decision my baby will be a King and its down to two choices the Thayers or the Albino Banana

Are those pocs of the actual snakes you are considering or just pics of the same type of snakes?

Those are the snakes I love them both the Albino with purple Cheeks is so cute and The Orange is a show stopper

My male Thayeri is one if the sweetest snakes. I just got a female this past weekend and she is a little flighty but she is settling in. The variable kings eat fantastic and have laid back personalities. That being said, they are very curious and aren't lap snakes like ball pythons are.

Well My Baby went from the Orange to A beautiful Red and Grey Thayer still from LLL Reptile the Orange one was all sold out but I'm just as excited and my Baby left Ca yesterday at 5 pm and its in Portland and will be in Klamath Falls shortly , I even went out to Petco last night and splurged on a nice new Habitat and its all stabilized and ready. Thanks LLL Reptile for your Fast and Professional Service....:) I will post a picture after he arrives I'm so excited my First King Snake.:D

My baby is here the Box was nice and Warm and this is the smallest Snake Ive ever seen, he is in his house de stressing he is so so cute, Great Job LLL REPTILE on getting him here nice and warm.I cannot believe how small he is.

My Baby is very feisty seems to really like the cute little hide cave, and has investigated the nice Grape wood Island is his habitat. I believe he was started on Frozen Thawed small pinkie mice so I bought some live pinkies from our Farm and Feed store and I flash Froze them so they are really Fresh Frozen we will feed in three days as LLL Reptile suggested, this is the smallest snake Ive ever seen. And of course I got pooped on.
