You dont need your Humidity to be 80-85%

wait but 50-60% is normal so shouldn't it be raised during a shed?

yeah raise it to like 70 or maybe 80 but when he/she isnt shedding it should be around 60%

to tell ya the truth, I keep my bps at a 60 and only raise them about 5% in shed and they are never patchy.

well i ptu a wet paper towel over the corner of the tank and it is doing nothing to the humidity but it made a big difference when i put it inside the tank so should i stick with my original idea?

Don't be surprised if your first shed is patchy.
I'd raise to the humidity no more then 75 personally, but I'd wait for blue eyes before I do that.

Put a damp paper towel over half the mesh top, not just the corner.
The humidity should go up slowly.

you can also use a wet towel instead of the paper towels. i'd imagine they would start to fall apart when you rewet them and all. try the humid hide to up the humidity too--i think you said earlier that you had made one?

    I used paper-towels when I used a glass tank.
if you double pile em, they won't fall apart.

Speaking of shedding, Obitus just went into a shed after eating that rat last night. Her eyes are cloudy, I'm pretty sure I saw her tummy go pink a day or two ago before they got cloudy.

Whats your humidity at right now?

Anyways, I'd personally wait to see some cloudyness and boost the humidity to 70-75, once I see it.

see what i mean it is kinda sloppy i used a chinese food container and it can hold humidity but it won't raise it in the tank. also i put the astroturf in and humidity is 41% and heat on the hot side is 93.7 degrees can someone help we with this. and would putting the papertowel on the mesh raise the humidity too much since he is not in the blue yet thanks.
