This girl is blind in one eye, and I was trying to grab her out at night time without making sure she knew it wasn't feeding night. 110% my fault. I laughed and felt relieved when it happened because it wasn't so bad (been bit my balls, but this is my first boa bite)

    Wow, she is pretty.

Wow what a bite! Was it a quick tag or strike and hold?

Struck and held, with a bit of chewing action. But that lasted only seconds and then she let go and honestly appeared a little confused Lol and quickly went to the back of her cage. Most definitely a feeding response type tag

Thanks! I've seen a few just as good/better but this is hands down my worst one. She's more than 10lbs. It didn't hurt much though, maybe pain level of a paper cut

Nice boa! Is she a jungle? I love her yellowish background color. Our new boy is really tiny so seeing the not-too-scary results of a large boa bite make me feel a little less nervous about the possibility of being bitten one day.

Whoa!! Well that seems like a good bite. I really like the snake too,,, quite pretty!

It's funny we laugh at these most of the time. I got tagged by my little ripper during a feeding mistake when he was really small. I thought it was hysterical LOL!

Sometimes the bites hurt and cause a bit of panic.

Check these GRAPHIC bite pics out. Just a nice reminder of what some of us with bigger snakes have to remember.

I don't think my boa will ever be capable of this, but I'm sure the really big boas could give somebody a run.

A retic did this. I think anything over 8 feet with mass has the ability to ruin a feeding day LOL!

    Yikes!!

Thanks for posting! It makes all of us think about getting content and thinking,,, "not my snake".

    Well we all make mistakes.

The blood is definitely the only scary part! As you can see the next morning its nothing but pinpricks

Oh and I have no clue what she is, she was a Petco buy 4 years ago. I'm assuming normal Columbian though

Hooks, like Doolittle said. I also was very stupid about it. Trying to grab a mostly blind snake in the night time. Normally I can do this with any of the snakes but you gotta have some way to break em from that feed mode (which I hadn't done)
