    Blue hue?
My ball python (Dave) has a blue hue. Someone please tell me that's normal? I know it isn't a shedding thing because even after he sheds it's there. I'm kind of new to this.:confusd:

What kind of ball python? Some ghost or hypo morphs will look blue hued.

    Pictures will be great.

I have a normal ball and the top of his head has a blue hue to it even after he sheds. So I'm guessing it's common but not positive. His last shed was complete so I don't think it's abnormal. Looking forward to seeing what kind of replies you get. He was advertised as a normal when I bought him.

The black scales of a normal can be slightly iridescent. So maybe that is what you are seeing.

It must be for mine at least. I only see it on the top of his head where the black is most prominent.

I managed to catch a good picture of it on one of mine a few years ago.

Mine has that too on top of his head. Just a tiny spot that at first I thought I was imagining. He's fine and he completed his shed so I'm guessing it's okay.

I'd say it's normal. I took my ball python out a week or so ago, and he had such an extreme blue iridescence I could barely even see his pattern. o.o I really wish the camera could have picked it up in its entirety, because it was awesome. He's not normally that brilliant, but he does usually have a nice iridescence to him.

Here a couple of pics from that day.
