Spider reduced x Lesser (breeding thread)

Might not seem as much to most of you, but it's our first season and she is our only non-normal female pairing, so we're really excited.
(Will also post a het. Albino x Spider het. Albino pairing)
She was paired 9 times, of which 8 was the same Lesser male and the first lock was another beautiful Lesser male, so I guess it's kind of a Who's your daddy:)

I hope not! She shouldn't lay until around april 15th :)
She should probably pre-shed soon. It might be the picture, you know what they say about cameras.. ;)

Finally! Came home yesterday to 4 perfect eggs, all candled nicely!
Cooking at about 89 F.
Go reduced Lesser Bees!

Closing in on a week now and the eggs look awesome, full with veins!
Perfect temps and humidity, so hopefully we'll see some Lesser Bees in 45-50 days!

Getting there! We've decided to wait for pippers until Day 55, then we'll probably cut to reduce the risk of heart attack:)
We've seen movement in the eggs, can't wait for their arrival!!

So we did cut on day 55, and it turns out we failed horribly.. :(
4 eggs, no Lesserbees. Looks to be 2 normals and 2 Lessers, but one of the Lessers look different, like a bright blushy normal, so maybe 75% normals. Yay..
Anyway, we'll post some pics once they peek out.
Still very exciting with our first babies!

Better luck next time! Congrats on the babies anyway :)

They have absorbed a lot more yolk today, so they might soon start to crawl out!

Great looking babies! That first normal female is a real looker.. Her pattern reminds me of something you'd see in a black pastel.
