The Marking Alphabet!

Hey guys!

I've got an interesting project for everyone. Every ball python has unique, distinct markings that set it apart from all others.

Some markings can stand out as odd or intriguing and I've noticed one on one of my ball pythons: The letter "A"

I was wondering if everyone could help me finish the alphabet and I will compile them all at the end in to one big picture!

We don't have to go in order, just post up a letter you find! Some might be easier than others! This should be fun :)

i think my fatty has a very misshapen 'G'? Could also be a lowercase 'b'... I don't know!

This is a really easy one to get I think but my Black Pewter girl has a lower case i on her neck.

Looking good so far now all we need is the other 22!

Too bad my corn snake or boa don't really have letter markings :(

This seems to be a very interesting thread, and if I weren't procrastinating from studying for finals, I would go look at all my snakes for letters. Another thing, if we get a full list of letters we could totally use them to make those collage pictures with different objects being used for letters. We can corner the market on Ball Python alphabet pictures! It'll be a gold mine!

it has been done with butterfly wings, even with multiple instances of each letter and number. so, MisterKytes nice pewter also has an "8". it would be cool to get it done. some random butterfly wing alphabet pics i found:

damn, again, i deleted my browser cache, as i do so often, so right now i cannot link images or do a new line or edit my post. at least unless my stupid firefox decides to no longer rely on cache files that dont exist anymore.

That's actually where my idea spurred from! It's cool seeing that stuff come from nature

The Black Pewter has a lot of "8" on her! I think it's just the was the morph is, haha.

That upper case C is PERFECT, but I'm having trouble getting a good crop as it's a little out of focus on the bottom. Do you have any other pictures? Thanks!

This one is more in focus - are you able to rotate? if not, let me know and I can flip it around or take a better picture. :)

some strategic ideas: i wouldnt differenciate between upper case and lower case letters. but i would look outside of ball pythons, that will make it easier and add some more colors. like green or red. retics may be a good source for things like W, X, Z, V.

this may be a really rewarding project, once you have enough material to spell things.

There is an obvious H as well. Above and slightly right of the head, black in color.... I see it anyway.

Theres always a masquerade ball mask right above it it even has the handle on it so you can hold it up to your face.

I dig the project. Some of these aren't so good but will make decent place holders til better ones pop up.
