    Python poop?
It's common knowledge that big pythons have big poops. But I was wondering, how big is big?
Anyone care to elaborate for anyone considering a snake of a larger size?

Full grown? Expect something human pooped sized, or bigger. All depending on when they last went, and how much they are being fed.

    Lol yeah.
As far as farting goes, you'll know its the snake. A 3 foot ball python alone can fart like the trumpets calling the demons back to hell.
God knows what a 20 footer is capable of...

On the comment of a human dropping that in the enclosure.....if that is typical for the size of yours I feel sorry for you and your toilet, LOL. On the other hand you have something to be proud of there hehe

And to think my last g/f would get quite upset when I'd post images of these master pieces left in cages on my facebook . . .

It really is a site and smell unlike anything else. I can snap some photos next week after the purple girl has her 4 lbs of rabbit in her for a few days. That usually does not disappoint. . . But in all honesty, the poo does not bother me one bit. I grab some toilet paper and pull it out log by log. Then replace the substrate. The urine is what gets you. A liter from a typical release is common, 2 liters is not unheard of either. The ammonia smell alone is so over powering that I know exactly when one of the snakes has done the deed. . . This reason alone is why I'm completely reverting from using aspen in my retic enclosures, and now only use unprinted newspaper in a couple layers. It don't look natural, but it helps a lot with keeping the snakes healthy by being able to replace it quick and easy and not missing aspen spots where urine had dried quicker than I could get to it.

And for the record that is not the size of my poop; do not feel bad for my toilet.

this is why I switched to paper towels, even though I am sure gentle giants take on a lot more water than my measly BPs. if they're tough to clean up after in loose substrate, I can't imagine the nightmare that is cleaning a retic cage after a nice toilet day.

Typical mess from my young retics. They love flipping their water and demolishing the cage.

Repeat after me ... it's ok I love my retics. I love my retics. I love my retics .... rinse and repeat as needed. The phrase and the cages.

That's actually not too bad. I have a boa that likes to deposit hers off the paper and then she creates "wall art". Fortunately it's only once every 3-4 weeks.

Oh good god this makes me so happy I have just one small BP. No mess, and everything is cleanable with just a single piece of paper towel. That's like cleaning up after a dog that poops in the house haha.

meh, my tics get a full floor replacement when they defecate or urinate since they are housed on unprinted newspaper . So its usually on the paper, I just bunch up the paper, put it in the air locked waste bin, spray the floor down with F10 cleaner, wipe dry, repaper, clean water, put retic back in. Takes all of 5 minutes. No smell after. Healthy snakes. Happy snakes.
