Tickled by Cuteness!

Right time, right place, right budget...and the final True Sign that it was meant to be was that my hubby was OK with the purchase!

I thought I'd be waiting another couple of years, at least, before I could own a tortoise, but this beautiful little gem is mine. Well....my son's. :P .....we'll share! :D

She is an Indian star tortoise, most likely female...probably about six months old (I forgot to ask her precise age). Nathaniel promptly named her Sarra (pronounced just like "Sarah" but he was insistent that it be spelled that way. ;) )

She's strong and healthy and not too shy or skittish. Just a tiny little love! Hard to guess her size in these pics, but she fits on the palm of my hand.

Thanks guys! She's just a little round ball of cuteness! Was so hard to work today because I kept stopping to watch her trundle around her new home, which just happens to be right beside my desk.

She is a little stunner! I love the Indian Stars because they are the perfect size as adults and have awesome personalities!

She's beautiful! I love tortoises, but will probably never own one due to the space/potential multiple lifetime commitment. Please keep posting pics as she grows!

How difficult is it to properly care for one?

Congrats and great pickup too! Something about tortoises and box turtles that have always been a attraction to me. Good luck with the little looker! Haha. :) Well, bigger and better looker now.
