    Who would have thought
My wife would want something so ugly LoL
We went and helped a friend build a fence yesterday.
This reminded me how old I am, I hurt everywhere.
Beside the point, they had a couple roosters and they were thinking about giving one away.
Well while I was off building a fence the wife was talking behind my back.
I found out at the end of the night that we were the owners of a new silkie rooster.
This dude is BUTT ugly, has furry feet and has 6 toes on each foot!!!

Well, whenever photobucket decides to load the photo I will post it.........................

I love silkies! I think they are so adorable. I used to have 3 buff silkies, one was a rooster. Now I'm down to 1 hen. I'll need to get some more! (Because 20 chickens isn't enough lol! )

Silkies are so cute! I wanted one, but they only sold them straight run, and we couldn't have roo's. So I never took a chance.

Cute! Looks like a blue, or maybe blue splash (With not so great splash pattern)? I like those colors a lot.

Yours is not a very good example, looks like a cross maybe. This is what a good silkie roo should look like.http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...s/IMG_4734.jpg
http://ball-pythons.net/forums/webki...DFF5/imagejpeg<-got it off of backyard chickens, Marie martins pic. The second roo isn't as good an example as the first one but they're still much better examples. Not trying to be rude, I'm just saying that your rooster is not the best example of a silkie and normally they'd be better looking.

Well, I will start by saying:
1-I am not breeding silkies so it really doesn't matter.
2-My wife is the on that wanted him and she likes him so again it really doesn't matter
3-You evidently missed your reasoning for posting your opinion, I wasn't asking so it really doesn't matter.

In case you didn't understand my response, let me say this without sounding rude.
Everyone has opinions (I however know when to open my mouth and when to sit back and watch the show) and I didn't ask to smell yours.

Again, I am not being rude, I am just wanting to know where you get your knowledge of silkies and remind you that sometimes it is better to say nothing at all. :gj:
