First Ovulation Ever!

Had to share my excitement and pictures! Went in and checked on the snakes this evening and my big Spider has finally ovulated!

Congrats! She's a good looking girl. What was she paired with?

She was paired with an Ivory, hoping to get a male Spider yellowbelly for a female that will be ready next year!

I have a female that is either a Butter Pastel or a Butter Super Pastel, so hoping to prove her out and possibly get some nice morphs in the process. I know it probably isn't the best method to going about trying to prove her out, but should give me some nice morphs. Really exciting for me, feels like I've been waiting FOREVER!

One of my Het Pied females is a bit picky about locking too. She will lock a couple times almost instantly then for a month she won't at all. Not sure I'll get anything from her this year. I'm sure patience will win out in your case!!

She looks great! How much does she weigh?

I weighed her a couple weeks ago (usually weigh them once a week but have been trying to keep the ladies calm), and she weighed in at 2400grams. She's definitely my biggest girl!

Woohoo! Yay! So exciting when they finally lock after a "dry spell" ;). I'm sure hoping to get a good couple clutches from my het girls, hoping to get a lot of pieds!!!

Congratulations! Both on the upcoming clutch and catching the ovy! They're so tough. I've only caught one this season myself!

Thanks! I knew it was coming soon with her, she started building WAY earlier than my other females. I've probably been a bit obsessive about it, actually, was just very happy to have seen it!
