Walking out of heaven.. Empty handed
Yeah, I did it. I'm disappointed at myself but yet, still consider myself a responsible adult. I went to the Westchester Reptile Expo yesterday and... I didn't walk out with a new beauty. When I walk in there, I feel like I'm home. Ha.. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable more and more varieties are becoming. A few years ago, Pieds were super expensive (at least for my pockets). This time around, they weren't that bad. I have an upcoming trip to Cali so I gotta conserve my financial resources these days. I fought every cell in my body not to buy a new friend. LOL.. Brian from SnakeBitesTV was there, too. The line to meet him was long so I skipped that.

Got myself some needed supplies and walked out disappointed but with my head held high. I called the wife right after and damn near cried.. LMAO.. ok, that's my confession. Thanks for reading..

Wow, I admire your willpower. I've yet to attend my first repticon. I was going to go to the one in SoCal at the beginning of the year and then I got into an accident that totaled my car. Believe me, on the days of the repticon I was just itching and hurting that I couldn't go. Yeah, I cried too. I don't think I could possibly go to one and not bring home someone special.

I commend your awesome willpower! Me? Never could have done it. I tried once, and then I found myself at the ATM getting money so I could go back in and buy two snakes. Since then I've always saved up for reptile shows since I know my willpower is crap. Especially at 2am when I'm cruising the kingsnake classifieds! The Arlington NARBC is this weekend and I have almost two grand to drop now. I can't wait! I am literally foaming at the mouth thinking of all the goodies I'm going to get!

I paced up and down the venue so many times eyeing the ones I was considering that I swore the vendors thought I was stalking them and not the snakes. Lol.. And that ATM staring back at me wasnt any help.. The next reptile show around me is in March so I take some comfort in knowing I'll get my "fix" then. Ha..

I've got a shopping list and I'm taking three people with me. Everyone will get a copy of the list and we're going to split up and cruise the show in sections to compare prices and quality. That will help me narrow down my choices as fast as I can before they sell out of the animals I want. Right now I really want two axanthic het pied females if I can find them. If they don't have that I'll shoot for two double het axanthic pied females and two double het lavender albino pied females. If I can't find those I'm going to shoot for a bumblebee het clown female and a firefly het clown female along with a nice three gene male that has fire in him. That's the game plan right now.

went and was totally temped into a blood python but I know I don't have a set up ready for her yet. so I am forced to wait. Loved the show even for a 3 hour ride( one way) sadly we got caught in the snow that fell on the way home.
My wife got to buy stuff ( but it was all for work which was good for her I guess)

I know exactly how you feel. Right now I'm living with my brother, and he is deathly afraid of snakes and will not allow them in his house. I've been to 3 shows in the last month and had to walk out of each one with my hands in my pockets.

This time next month, I hope to be back in my own place again, and can't wait for the first show after that

I went to the Repticon in Greenville SC this past weekend. It's so hard not to buy anything. The cost of double gene females are starting to become more affordable, so I walked out with a black pewter female. And some rats. Can't help myself.

Me too! Requested it off already.

Went to my first expo and came home with a boa. I couldn't go all that way and not come home with something. Now the Sac expo, I'm going to let myself loose. :3 new hatchlings oh yes.
