    What morphs are these?
Hey all! I'm new to the forum and just getting back into snakes after a 10 year hiatus. I'm looking to add some morphs but I don't want to get duped for being a "newbie." Here are some shot of the possibles....feel free to tell me what morph you think they are. Thanks!! Looking forward to being a part of this community http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/03/e2y2eny9.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/03/yru6e5u5.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/03/2avupy8u.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/03/supe9evu.jpg

Dealer said fire. Told me the head spot and black eyes are trademarks of fires.

Just quoting the dealer. I'm trying to learn what differentiates different morphs. I just want to make sure 1, I get a healthy animal, and 2 I get what I'm paying for.

I just got this picture sent to me from the last snake I enquired about. Dealer says butter pastel....thoughts?

While I am not an expert on fires I would have to say that one looks more like a normal to me. If it is a fire I would say that it is a rather poor example of the morph. JMHO

Almost went with Fire for the 3rd one...Couldn't tell as well looking on my phone...Looking on the pc it is a Fire.

Looks like a Pastel Butter...A pic with more natural lighting would help though...

1 is a mojave. 2 is a butter/lesser. 3 could be a fire. 4 is a spider. The last pic is a pastel butter. And its not the same snake as number 2

    1. mojave
    2. lesser/butter
    3. I thought fire initially with the first pic, but wasn't 100%. The second pic definitely looks like a fire. It's a decent example in my opinion.
    4. spider
    5. Pastel butter/lesser

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the help! More questions....do they look like good examples of the morph? What are reasonable prices for these morphs? The lesser and mojave are female, the others are male.

Very nice mojave female. She's got the classic mojave look to her.

The lesser is killer, super light and blushed out, with stunning coloring.

The one that might be a fire....if it is it's not all that great of a fire. But I am heavily biased when it comes to fires, as anyone here can tell you.

The spider looks like a good, solid classic example of a spider.

The pastel butter is young, it will really come into it's coloring as it ages.

Now, if you are looking to start with a single, solid snake on which to build a breeding program and you have the funds snap up that pastel butter. He's a double gene snake which puts you a step ahead in the game, plus as a male he can breed multiple females in a season. Put him to a couple of single gene females or if you are really fortunate a double gene, and you could feasibly hit a triple or quad gene right off the bat.

Now, if you are looking to do a package deal with this person, I'd do the pastel butter and the mojave. These two would give you a shot at the BEL, plus you'd get pastaves, butter pastaves, butter pastels, pastels, butters, and mojaves.

Otherwise, get your double gene male here, and keep your eye out for single gene females that don't carry his same genes, and you can really expand your horizons.

Does anyone have a good representation of a young and adult fire so I know what to look for?

    Gale has great fire babies.

This is Mike's fire. She's my favorite fire ever.

I decided to take a chance on the little fire. His price was right for risk taking and there was just something about him, maybe because my three year old daughter immediately started referring to him as Olaf...he's a great eater and just shed. Here is a new pic, I think he's looking better and better with each shed. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/10/ydyzuza8.jpg
