Hello from a Vet
Hello everyone,
Hope everyone including their reptiles are doing great, it honestly feels a bit weird here since I'm not too familiar with Forums. Anyway I'll happily share a little bit about myself.
I'm a US Army veteran with 7 hardy years in and 1 deployment under my belt, as of 26 of February I will be retired and be a civilian (Oh dear gawd save me)! hehe
One of my major plans will be getting the house I been eye-balling for awhile and start up my passion again with reptiles. I don't think I'll get into breeding but I would love to be surrounded by many of the gorgeous beauties. <3
I am currently in the works of getting a Ball Python (still unsure of the morph I want... I love them all). So far I have all the equipment needed even a nice collection of books. All I need is the snake. :)
Am I a first time snake owner? Nope, I owned a snake prior to me joining the army she was a lovely Snow Corn Snake I named Rosie. Sadly I lost her when I was stationed in Germany when my mother was evicted and the owner just handed her to someone on the streets who wanted her. >:/

Lol i did 5 years as an aviation electriciansmate working on SH-60B/R and now i work on sierra's that are primary SAR for the east coast. So while im not under the stress of a battlefield environment i am under the stress of our countries need to complete aircraft supported missions. I guess what im trying to say is there are a lot of ways to contribute to our country and its unbelievable the amount of people who consciously wouldn't get out off bed to do what we do (or did) everyday. So thanks! Sorry sensitive topic for me :D and that VA better be taking good care of you if you need it!

Awesome, when I joined up as a 92A (Automated Supply Specialist) not the job I wanted but that's the only thing they offered and I wanted to join as soon as possible, when 2012 came around I wanted to reclass to a different job and I wanted to go into the aviation field. I wanted to work with the UH-60s and CH-47s but sadly I got med boarded instead. *flips table* So I am a bit jealous of you since you get to work with the Navy variant of the Blackhawk. :P
But I plan to go to school and get some experience in mechanics, since I want to get into Aviation restoration.

Re: Hello from a Vet
Lol the military has a habit of giving you the job you dont know anything about or want but hey its free training right. We got some UH-60's in the hanger right next to us at a Test Pilot School. Just paint a Sierra black and you got a blackhawk lol. Aviation is great career choice if your still interested get your AMP license and you can work anywhere on any aircraft where as i don't have an AMP and im pretty much restricted to helos being hired off of my helo job experience. Its funny i got out of the service to do the exact same thing just as a civilian. Nice transition.
