Is this normal?

Sorry about the picture quality ill try and describe the best i can. It looks like the skin has been dried slightly raised im not sure if he is getting ready to shed i will be taking him to a vet just to be sure but i would like to hear some other opinions

It means your humidity is too low. The air is too dry or they're reminiscence of the previous shed that didn't fully come off.

From the pictures it looked like left over shed to me, but the quality wasn't good enough for me to be sure. As the previous poster said, it could be your snake is too dry. Doesn't look like anything to freak out about at the moment. If it is not shed stuck on him, then try misting the enclosure daily to raise humidity and see if that doesn't fix the problem.

Im thinking he may have been to dry. Ive fixed that issue. Hopefully its not left over shed his last reported shed was early november

Just to keep you updated i took him to the vet friday incase of mites but he's nice and healthy. Sitting at 90g fed him 4 pinkies that night and 4 more last night. (3 days between feedings)

I didn't really know what you were asking, just by the pictures :P
As everyone has said, probably low humidity. Try adding a humid box if you can't up the humidity another way (plastic container large enough for snake, hole cut out and shaved so no sharp edges, with damp sphagnum moss inside).

No need to rush to the vet over that :)

I just got him 10 days ago so i wanted to make sure he didn't have any issues since i didn't get him from a breeder. I have my setup straightened out and he seems really happy

Bump up your humidity to about 60-65%, and as dull looking in color and if the last shed was really back in November, there is a good chance that your snake may be in a very early stage of a shed cycle. More indications, bluing of the eyes, pinkish belly, dull colors, and hiding more frequently... I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. Some snakes are more obvious about it than others.

On a side note: If you are feeding 4 pinkies every three days (recommended every 5-7 days) , then you need to up the size of what you are feeding it (I'm assuming you are feeding mice). Typically 10-15% of your snake's weight or as wide as the widest part of your snake. At 90 grams you should be feeding a fuzzy or a small hopper in mice that is, maybe a pinky if feeding rats. The reason I added this is because from November till now since supposedly last shed, seems like a long duration between cycles for a young snake. Grant it every snake grows at different rates (the reason for shedding), but can be effected on how the snake has been feed.

Agreed about every 5-7 days, I believe it allows for proper digestions.
Should not be feeding pinky mice... way too small. I know some breeders start their new borns on rat pups! I think this guy could use rat fuzzies for sure (10-15% of body weight, or to the widest part of snake's body), or weanling mice, at minimum I think I would go large hopper mice. But then again, I don't feed mine mice.
When mine was around the size of yours I fed him rat hoppers but he could have taken small pups.

Cute little bug. A little thin, a little dry, but all in all in pretty good shape considering some of the stuff we see here.

If you are feeding pinky mice, they are pretty small for him. And four at a time must be a pain. It really would be better for you both if you can get him on prey closer to ideal size. If you go the mouse route, he should handle a mouse just past the hopper stage easily. Or roughly the size of one and a half of your thumbs when held together, minus the tail. You want the prey to make a noticeable bulge in the tummy, but not make the baby look like it swallowed a football. If you have access to them, similar sized rat is also suitable. And since rats get bigger than mice, that means you can keep his prey consistent and won't have to worry about trying to switch him later on.

The reason he probably has not shed for so long is he hasn't been being cared for very well, so thank goodness he has you to turn things around for him. Once he starts eating like h should and growing like a weed, he'll shed pretty frequently and he'll look a lot better.

The main reason im still on pinkies. The previous care taker said he was a very picky eater and the fuzzy he wouldnt go for. After this week i can say he is not being picky and i should be able to upgrade no problem. Hopefully the pet store near by has small enough ones.
The humidity usually sits at 63 but occasionally between 60-70
And the pinkies are currently same size of his head

Just giving an idea:

I feed f/t rats and don't really care about getting f/t from a pet store because you don't know how long the mouse or rat has been in the store's freezer and where it has came from, or worrying if they have your food in stock. So I usually order my food online getting a few weeks of supply of whatever size my snake currently eats and a handful of a next bigger size up for when its ready to up the size on food. Grant it shipping is a little pricey, but I'd rather know where my feeders are coming from and approximately how fresh it is too (the company I order from euthanizes humanly either the day of or the day before shipment), besides they look better than what the pet store usually has.
