Lets talk about bananas!

Bananas are getting very popular and I have been looking at them a little more carefully since the price has come down. There seems to be a big difference in the amount of neon orange vs lavender on individual animals. Generally from what I have seen, an animal with a large orange blob on the head has more orange overall than an animal with a small orange spot or no orange on the head. I would like to know what high orange vs high lavender results in as an adult. All you banana owners....can you please post baby to adult photos? Thank you!

My boy isn't an adult yet but you can see the difference in the orange blushing from hatching till now

Excellent pic you posted as well. I think the banana ball you have looks even better now!

Like many other mutations, they get better and better with age... I'll get a pic of mine in a few...

No problem. I have it saved as a favorite on my channel, there are some REALLY nice looking BP in that video.

as adults they look completely different compared to how they look as hatchlings.

its a matter of taste, but i do like the old ones very much.

about the future of the gene, im really curious to see more super bananas and super banana combos.

How old is your Banana? Looks like he's holding on to the orange blushing nicely. I see some Banana that seem to fade to a cream color and lose the bright orange quicker.

I have two. Top Banana is a June hatchling at 700g+. Bottom Banana is a July hatchling and 578g.

Their both good looking Banana's. Do I see a Albino Banana Pied in the future ?? :gj:

To the OP, I think alot of what you see is good/bad camera shots. Here is the same banana at 72 g.

Now poor photo, but him at around 900 g. In person he is a brighter yellow than my pastel super stripe.
